I just can't understand my apex 11.
I've put bios 903 and started to tweak the ram, and i opened a window to lower the room temp.
After 20 min of tweaking ram started to pass gb3 @ 4180 12.11.11 1t tight. It passed 6 runs in a row. Room temp was about 22C. I went to smoke and i returned after 6-8 minutes and run gb3 again... surprise... doesn't work anymore, crashes at djakstra test...
Any idee what to tweak to make it stable? (ram si A1 layout)

My hw point from the memory frequency keeps oscillating between 0.4 and 20 ...

@Aurosonic Do you have slow restart and slow wake from sleep with A2?

- restarting takes too long
- getting into OS from sleep takes too long
Seams this issue is due to the high speed A1 ram. I dialed back the frequency and no more slow restart or long wakeups.
Will trie on A2 when i have some spare time.

@websmile from your experince what would be the average mv needed to drop 1 latency? I mean going from 4400 19-19-19 to 4400 18-18-18 what shoud i expect in voltage raise?
I know it depends from kit to kit from your test you should have an average.

I tried stripping win 10 to the bone ..... till i broke it.
I can't run anymore : run, powershell, gpedit, regedit, msconfig .... probably anything related to system32.
Any ideea how to make run or gpedit work again ?

On m11a i have only usb 3.1 gen 1 and gen2. I have the legacy support enabled. What do you mean by lower ? Usb 3.1 gen 1 or the usb 2.0 connector from the bottom pf the board?

Just saw an odd behavior regarding difference between a clean win 10 with some useless services disabled and my 24/7 win 10.
Afaik the "cleanness" of the OS affects the scores in benchmarks but not the vcore.
What i've noticed today: (9900k/M11A/ram auto - 2133C15/cache 43)
- on clean win 10 i can run CB15 @5300 with 1.28v (it is not perfectly stable but it passes 4 out of 5 runs)
- on my 24/7 win 10 CB15 @5300 crashes with 1.30v. At 1.31v it passes but can't match 4 out of 5.
In the scenarios above same BIOS and settings were used.
Did anybody noticed this? Is this normal, or is my 24/7 OS truly bad?

Does anyone heard of a dead cpu in x265 4k on ambient (water)? Or it happens only when you go extreme?
