Heading back to MSI this afternoon, I'll try to replicate the issues so you guys have a good working platform for MOA
FF or 88?
Issue was found yesterday in HQ too, I think.
88 code
-
bios 1.4 (MOA) when I enable direct oc buttons in bios my board refuse to boot
-
And you did it again
-
Okay so it's not that, I am trying to find "the thing" what killed my card, I resoldered it but still won't work
-
Did anyonne remove thermal shutdown resistor on 680L?
-
-
fragile or my luck - 1.57v max
-
Take out your cpu of socket and put it again
-
Mine Kingston 4x2 GB 2133 (PSC) are doing 2400 9-12-9-29 2T stable (of course on R4E they are better
)
-
Okay so today my 2x L680 died... private and moa sample, yesterday they were okay, I stopped benching and put them on a shelf (after drying). MOA sample resurrected after owen action, private still dead. Be careful, they seem fragile
-
I have problem with restart - always claims I changed memories/cpu
-
Yeah, you need ln2 for ln2 bios
btw
anyone has problems with BigBang II 1.4(MOA) Bios?
-
-
I heard no more than 1.55v because GPU loves to degraded/die but I haven't tested it - I have problems with 1.45+
-
P0state bios my friend
-
Yoo
Yeah, LN2 special bios (1500 gpu and only P0 state) is locked with memory OC. I asked MSI to prepare P0 state bioses with locked memories 1750,1800,1850 and so on, hope they will do it

I am only bringing water cooler, no cpu pot
hahaha
CPU pot can be usefull for OC Workshop lol
-
haha I only tell that with such cpu it's in theory possible to do some WR, I guess we will stuck with 5.2 GHz cpus
-
depending on how good the chips are, there should be a single card 3d11 WR in the mix I would think....also they will probably say x79 32m wr and x79 03 wr
marketing....I think they should have done Wprime1024 and vantage instead. would have been interesting imo.
Wprime + I = burnt cpu/mosfet or really inefficient run
Vantage + 1 vote from me
It all depends from GPUs and CPUs, in theory with 5.6-5.8 Ghz CPU and 2000/2000 GPU near 17K can be done

Every new limit or complicated rule makes the competition less attractive!
I think the best idea is simply just like it was in MOA (I stage and II stage) or weekly prices like in LOC.
It encourages overclockers to do serious results and publish them (I & II stage but everything has to be with normal time frames, it can't be abused and in my opinion it shouldn't be present in every contest, remember - many overclockers bench only on weekends or when they have some spare time). Weekly prices make overclockers less sandbagging (of course if they want to win additional prices). Many overclockers try many samples of cpus/vgas and sometimes it happens that they find a golden one last day. There are also cases when hw has to be shipped from abroad and stucks in custom office...
Sandbagging will be present or simply the highest score won't be the winning one. It can't be eliminated but can be reduced a bit.

It's MSI/Intel decision - in theory X79 is the highest platform...
Ivy would be fun, but also there would be big chance that few teams wouldn't end the competition with points...
