  1. For sale is the cascade used for all my hwbot subs. The compressor in the second stage is not starting but it should still have a gas charge and everything else works fine and a new compressor can be had for less than 100$. If  you have hvac experience or have a local place that does refrigeration repair work repairs should be under 300$.

I can't ship the unit so it is pickup only.  550$ 500$ obo

I have psc that is capable 8-12-8 2700 ambient but could make any decent results with it on lga775, cold or not. The only ic that was my favourite except hypers/d9 is bbse - at least I was able to get them stable 100-120 mhz higher than hypers several years ago (2000 with hypers vs 2133 with bbse).

What timing I only have a single stick of bbse and it is very bad. I think with a tec on the plate under the cascade head and one of my good psc sticks I should be able to do 1050 5-7-5 if the rex likes cl5 with a trfc of 60

  3. As the price and rarity of hypers increases I wanted to see if I could find an ic that could at least match average hypers. The first ic I tried was psc on cascade phase change. The stick is my worst stick of psc but the only one that I can mount to my phase unit currently.

This run was done at 1.76V and the stick scaled negatively above that. If I use ln2 trcd might be able to be lowered to 6 and with my rex it may be able to do cl5. I will be doing 32m testing when I get my heat spreaders from bartx and will test against hypers to see if the cold psc comes anywhere close.

Notes: Thermal paste was hy 510 and mounting was not very good due to not having proper mounting hardware and the heat spreader read -64c so with better mounting and paste it might go a little further on cascade

    Hey Folks!!!

Happy (belated) 2020!! Hope everyone's well and having fun! Life's been great but super hectic on this side. Finally settling down, slowly starting to un-pack the hardware (we recently moved). Looking forward to doing some benching again!

Sooo....who's interested in coming to PA this summer?? It'll be the same drill as last year; Harrisburg venue, setup Thursday night, benching Friday - Sunday (room cleaned up and empty no later than 4-5pm), attendees will split all venue and ln2 costs. Have 3 weekends in mind so please take the poll. I'd like to have the weekend determined and a decent count of attendees by next weekend if possible so I can get a lock on the venue and ln2. I'll get venue and ln2 quotes next week so we know the numbers (of course, I'm hoping for the same prices as last year but we'll see).

Already excited even though it's still 6 months away but want to give everyone as much advance time as possible. :)

Y'all rock...can't wait to see you.

    -Stefan

    I'm in for sure!

I have some bh5 mems Geil One. Also, I think I have some OCZ Gold kit which can do massive voltage also. What about TCCD chips? Do these have any interest to you? I have some Patriot TCCD chips :)

Unfortunately I am only looking for sticks that are known to do 2-2-2 290 or higher.

  6. Hwbot isn't bad, especially for a free service run by volunteers . This will be the first major rework since I have joined but looking at past threads they are all the same, some people saying "the new changes are going to fix everything" and the other half saying it is the end of days.

Whatever happens there will always be people cheating and people will always be unhappy with the system if they feel like it gives someone else an advantage. There is no way to make everyone happy.

    Just make it simple.

Use phase to bin rams, get to know your cpu imc and at the same time try to find basic mobo settings for specific bench...Then go all out with ln2

I find phase really useful for 775 and haswell because it is so close to the cold bug you can find the max of the chip fairly reliably for less money than getting ln2 to do testing. It is also nice to run the cpu on cascade or single stage to do testing with gpus on dice or ln2 to get a feeling for the gpu without having to worry about they cpu
