The HWBot thing was the hardest part and we all had to assure and encourage him.. He was getting frustrated with HWBot, rules, submitting legitimately and move on to the next bench. It so hard for a new guy to come along and work with HWBot. Took this gentleman probably a week to get one good legitimate submission in. That sucks. I can't sell that.

Which is why something like benchmate has the potential to really help. I know a lot of people hate it but it might be needed to keep hwbot alive and keep new people coming in.

Don't use those excuses. Nobody was competitive when they first started, and nobody spoon fed any tweaks. You have to figure out some stuff by yourself. If you're not willing to put the time in, it ain't for you.

As far as expense, old hardware is a cheap learning experience, and you upgrade as you can afford it. Just like any other hobby.

I was not speaking for myself just from what others have shared with me about it. Personally I spend way too much money on this hobby and end up working extra shifts to get more hardware but such is life. As for tweeks I personally have been able to find most of the major ones with the way back machine from old forums but it is off putting to new people who might not know about tweaks when their scores are bad at the same clocks.

Sample young people do not care about computer hardware and push technology to the limit. New generation do care about and from my side do not waste time I trying last years to help young people to start oc but it didn't happen I give it all my hardware but do not care. Rest of old ocers do overclock for fun nad old love and it is it. Maybe Roman can push over his community on YT and case king.  Only do make big shit here and just don't drive away these few people left, for some profit there.

What? I do not think that is true at all. I am quite young and know many others my age who are interested in this thing, the main issue most of them have with it is starting off. This community can be very closed off and tweaks are kept secret so it makes new people discouraged that they will not be able to be competitive with scores from people who know some weird quirk with a piece of software that makes it run faster. The other issue is cost to overclock is raising quite quickly and making it harder for younger people with very limited funds hard to do.

now I know why he wanted to have a seperate SS thread ?

I plan to post lots of things like this and don't want to flood to other sections with my random projects. I would post on xtremesystems but I do not think it will be around much longer. Make phase change great again .

    I'm intrigued and slightly terrified.

Nothing to be terrified about. All the parts will be pressure tested to 30 bar and are all meant for these pressures and temps. It will be a piece of shit for performance but it will be safe. I have pressure tested the bronze line to the max of my n2 tank which is 50 bar I think .

I had issues with high PSC voltage only sometimes, it seemed inconsistent - maybe linked to other BIOS settings? Sometimes certain slots would work, but populating other would cause it to not work again.

There was something similar I had on P45 where higher than 1.85-1.9V always failed POST.

I tried with 6 kits total of psc on ambient, phase and ln2 and it never liked more than 1.65v  on my rex or p5e3.

@TerraRaptor If you only run psc on ss I would not recommend it for lga 775 as trcd and a few other timings dont go low enough at those temps. I would say cascade or ln2 is needed and dice might work if you have a strong kit

Try bartx? Maybe he could make one?

I've been getting my cpu and gpu ones from him but overseas costs for these ones for ram and north bridge cooling makes the planned units too expensive

  9. I'm looking for someone who can make really cheap evaps. I am thinking of something like this https://static.slo-tech.com/12595.jpg but with just a single cut instead of 5 and have it really low profile. I am looking to just cool ram and chipsets with it so the cheaper the better without any need for real load capacity. I am looking for under 30 usd per evap with an initial order of 3-4
