Great Result & Nice efficiency

I'm alittle convinced by what you said above ... But I'm still on number #1. In my thought : Later = Easier , why ? 1) Did you remember last batch numbers of 2600K ? they all go higher than 5.5GHz. So right now it is so easy to find a good chip and break the records, what would happen to a person who bought tons of that component earlier !!! (Maybe you say we shouldn't judge with one chip, but there is lots of component in this situation, like i7 920, E2160 and E2180, ... new batch numbers = better) 2) Early guys would get help from experience of old guys and old submits. So their experience and risking their component for first time should have a price ... (Some times happen that I can not break some one's records Like "G H z" or "spl" with newer hardware , and I say to myself "Man these guys were HUGE") 3) In 2008 you would bought 8800GTX 100000000000$ , today you would buy 10x 8800GTX with 100$. 4) Most important thing in option number 1# is that new guys would have more motivation to break the records. If they get equal point they would stop benching and there won't be any try to raising it ... As a wise man said : "Records are set to be broken" I'm agree with your opinions too, But option number 1# is more respective to older guys and would be more motivating for newer guys.

Hey guys, Each overclocker has his own way in extreme overclocking, I know some of you guys use heating element or glass anti-steam. Is there any way else which I don't know? I made this in free time ... very useful , I used it on 8800 in quick run and it was awesome I think it would give me 50 to 100MHz more for memory clock in long benching. What you need : 1) Free time 2) 230v AC Dimmer 3) Electrical Transformer (Double6 which give you both 6volt and 12 volt) 4) Flexible swath shape heating element 5) Plastic Varnish for wire and heating element Really easy, set the dimmer between transformer input and your AC power plug. By reducing transformer input voltage , It's output will reduce too (in my case I used 0-6volt output and I have to say it is enough. I use 12volt output for DC fan) http://lioncomputer.ir/forum/imgcenter/images/users/38036602833892266251.jpg http://lioncomputer.ir/forum/imgcenter/images/users/78330245275884291385.jpg Whole package won't get hot but if you want to be creative and have too much time you can use 12volt output for a DC fan. Don't forget that output of transformer is AC so you have to use a Pol Diode and Capacitor (should be more than 1000micro-F, in my case I used 3300mF 16v) Put the varnish on for flexible swath shape heating element and done ... This is what I came up with : Idle temp : http://lioncomputer.ir/forum/imgcenter/images/users/89197316758533094516.jpg Load temp : http://lioncomputer.ir/forum/imgcenter/images/users/49986446419544047991.jpg And just set this between your LN2 pot and your memories. It's adjustable and you can have any temp that you want, I got 120C max on this length of heating element. "It is bad that I can not post pictures directly but I leave the links"

I vote for option 1# . There should be a difference between a guy who reach a score sooner (with maybe old hardware or weaker) and other guys who reach the same score (maybe after some years and with more powerful hardware)

I have to rerun too. core clock is so bad. I have to work on it. -
Nice job Matt. I didn't hardmod the card. I just modified BIOS. Let me check that my back ups are enough for 471K or not

Thanks guys, Yes it is a reference card and actually this core clock was stable with 1.5 vGPU. I will try more in next days. -
Really Really like your benches Phil. Great efficiency. Why did you isolate the card ? for 1300 ? more to come I think...
