Videocard specifications requests : Add Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP
Ticket ID: 1148 Priority: Medium Create a Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP category which is a part of RS300M chipset pretty much like Radeon 9000 IGP is a part of RS300.\r\n\r\nAnd rename specs on this category: Radeon 9000 Mobile - it\'s not an integrated chip, only a mobile one, the M9 core.\r\nHere\'s an example of a really Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1084575_wegetti_3dmark03_radeon_9000_mobile_408_marks\r\n\r\nIt has half the number of pipelines so it\'s much slower than discrete 9000 Mobile.

How about the site format?
First of all, everything in history that is about subzero should definitely be saved. How it all started. The easiest are videos - store them as is. As for articles, it might be interesting to keep them as is too - the whole page - it's design, how the author described the process and results - are parts of the history. It's really nostalgic to take another look on Holicho's page for example. So we can collect pages as they are and then make a machine translation (Google). If someone knows the language the original page is written in and knows English (might be even more important than the first one ) then he might make a reply about mistakes/corrections. So the output can be done as a frame with the original page. An exception should be made for results that were in text only without any formatting and so on. Or forum posts. They should use the HWBot style (or maybe special style for history section yet staying in harmony with General HWBot style. For example, add ASCII pics there ). Something to start from...

General discussion thread
So what and in what form will this section contain? I mean - yes, there were interesting clocks and worklogs at that time. But how far (wide) should we go in collecting data? Only records or benchmarks, mods and other stuff too?

Wow, Massman wrote me a PM Upcoming New Year is nothing compared to this I'm in. Where can we discuss the site format? I mean - what will be collected and how it will be stored (copying the old pages, republishing using HWBot page&text format) and so on. All such stuff.

Home made P4 Northwood ?
Nope, not homemade. All M0 stepping and the latter D1 ones have this package, it's normal.

PC Treiber mod BIOS - where to get?
I've tried to download the PC Treiber's mod BIOSes for various AsRock boards but failed. Does anyone have them for at least Conroe865PE and all PT880 boards? Changelogs and detailed info is appreciated That's why I suggest to make a mod and BIOS database on HWBot

http://history.hwbot.org
I agree to Noir and 1Day - this should be a separate database. Maybe you can dupe the hardware categories, but not mix with the existing. Or make a link to archive from the existing hw pages to check who has made anything with this stuff before HWBot. It's a pretty nice idea and it widens mine that I've sent you about a year ago - to store all modification info on HW "info pages". For example - I find a good result on P4C800-E. I think - hey, looks like a nice board. Then I go here: http://hwbot.org/hardware/motherboard/p4c800_e_deluxe And I see - damn, it's really good. But that's were it ends up - I've gotta go find it's specs on sites that reviewed it (the Asus site dropped info on it), I've gotta find mod BIOS if there are any of them. And then I've gotta find the voltmods or PWM datasheets to modify it. It would be very nice if everything would be in one place. Community could help in finding links and pics (or making their own pics), getting BIOS mods and voltmods. Add datasheets and you've got a nice info that much more handy than the existing one. What do you guys think? I've suggested to make a full HW specs table for video (DX support, TMU, ROP, pipes, manuf. process and other stuff) of all kinds. But that suggestion was dropped too. P.S. As for legal stuff - go and look how Web archive handles this. We can make it the same way.

Who inspired you to start overclocking?
falc, t0p_VD (local guys) and TiN. His article "born to crawl..." touched my heart. But more I was interested by THG (yeah, they're Prommy and LN2 adventures) and overclockers.ru at that time.

What's the deal here
We do, until facts force us to change our mind Christian Ney, no one can stop you from attaching photos for mentioned categories or when CPU-Z detects something incorrect.
-
What's the deal here
It's an additional proof, not a 100% valid one. Just like any other

Good idea. I've suggested this some time ago with no luck...

What's the deal here
Yeah, crappy Intel CPUs. They don't tell about their multi. While AMD even with 486DX4 do. There are only indirect (read as inaccurate) ways to figure that.

What's the deal here
You're talking about cheating. I'm talking about suspicious results that can be achieved with legal overclocking
