    I am restored and putting stuff back in place, a complete server rebuild with patching. I fixed the UDF8 encoding as well. Vbulletin forums themselves were also hacked by the same guys the same week along with a long list of other vb sites.

    The main purpose to this was to get passwords, emails, IP and username fields only. They launched a .js once they had access and were done in 5 minutes. Wife losing her phone was 100x more stressful for me. It was not someone who disliked or knew XS, it was for the data and covering tracks.

    Just an update, I am without my main server until the FBI returns it in a few days, I will put the backup server online. Its a bit older data but at least the site will be online. It appears the vulnerability was with the vbulletin software, using javascripts. It took the hackers 5 minutes of scripts to complete, the scripts were precise to extracting user data and delete all tracks including data. Change your passwords to be safe if you use the same passwords across many sites.

  9. NUC6i7KYK - Home I really like the Skull Canyon, a nice form factor design with excellent performance. The only real down side is the heat sink being inferior, it cannot keep the Skull Canyon from hitting 100c in almost all benchmarks and games. ​If you want to improve the performance of your Skull Canyon and have confidence in your ability to open the case, I recommend swapping the thermal paste to a higher performance product. ​I did not have a chance to fully test the Thunderbolt 3 yet, I expect a NVMe TB3 drive in soon as well as an TB3 box to give me an external PCIE slot to add a discrete video card. I did connect my Apple 27" TB display and it worked as intended. I connected both HDMI and Display Port to the 4K monitors without any issues @ 60hz ​I was able to install Windows 7 and run the Windows 10 upgrade without any problems, but... You must use the USB tool to update your Windows 7 install to support USB3. ​Windows 7* USB 3.0 Creator Utility I was also able to setup the dual M.2 in RAID 0 with a pair of Samsung 950 Pro NVMe drives in Windows 7 and complete the Windows 10 upgrade.​ ​The only overclocking available on the Skull Canyon is memory overclocking, you can dig through benchmarks to see I ran all sorts of settings and noted that custom settings did not stick after a second power cycle on BIOS 035. As a Home Theater PC the Skull Canyon is an overkill, it would be the ultimate HTPC but the extra speed on SATA and CPU is just not needed to for this application. By adding KODI.tv application you easily have the full blown high quality HTPC experience in a non dedicated box. As a desktop workstation these are great, they take up very little space and very powerful, having the ability to run 4K displays along with RAID makes these a really good choice for office professionals. I also feel these would make a great computer for students in dorms where space is so important yet the need for a decent machine, these are very respectable and could be trendy in this environment. The Skull Canyon would make an appropriate and excellent High School graduation gift. ​I hope you found this information useful and I will have my Gaming tab posted soon, I am putting extra work into this as I am finding out what game titles work great at 4K so you will have a good idea on what to expect from your Skull Canyon. As this form factor is small, having it as a travel PC makes this a great solution. Finding a HDMI display to plug into today is not a problem and with the ultra compact keyboard and mouse combos gives you a performance PC anywhere you go. ​I am working on gaming still but I wanted to get my results posted as soon as possible. Since this is being sold as a "Gaming" machine, I took a step back from the latest titles and focused on titles that it can run at 4K, more to how well it can run those games at 4K. ​I can assure you now that the hardcore gamer would be disappointed without a discrete video card solution but for the casual gamer may find titles that are acceptable to play without any FPS issues.

  12. Some insight: Intel has contracted a 3rd party to code XTU since it was moved from "Iron City" The programmers name is Ben and he is close to the Intel engineers I work with. George, Allen, and I have met Ben.   13. When you get the RIVE, there is a hole under the CPU to attach a probe. When you use the new TIM, spread an thin even layer across the IHS. Auto setting work great on the RIVE so all you need to set is multiple, vcore, and input (past 5.5Ghz). A rough guide to voltage scaling. @ -120c 5Ghz ~ 1.5vcore, 5.5Ghz 1.7vcore, 5.7ghz 1.8vcore 2v input (try higher input) Use XTU and watch for core temp to becoming visible on the graph (also use probe) but its in milliseconds so it might be hard to see on meter. To get the VID value from your chip, reset bios to default and set multiple to 35x, reboot, go back into bios and note the core voltage that is set automatically.   14. Careful with the wild claims, we notch the IHS and or attach to the IHS so there is no way you are MUCH closer. Any doubts ask an expert here, we are not as think as you dumb we are. You are not measuring core or IHS temp. I happened to find a measurement from a bench you ran that you overlooked proving that you are thermally maxed out at 5Ghz and the excessive temp delta (you are welcome). TIM will get you more Mhz and time will show us how much or little capacity your unit has in its current configuration. I know you can fix it. I already told you that my block design is free to use and this includes the retention method. You did not design my block or retention. I understand you do not want to give anyone else credit to the source of anything as you are revolutionary and pioneering what I did 10+ years ago. Most likely due to patents filed and any question of using work of others. Do you want to see my purge case I build from scratch in 2008? I did not use a PC case and duct tape, I did not claim "no ice" like you as your pictures show the purge line completely covered in ice all the way back to the valve, as well as ice forming all over the case. I am sure it can be corrected with insulation on both feed line and exterior of case. Going back to being honest on your products features and not making unfounded claims where your own images prove you wrong. Accuracy to your claims is important or it makes you look like a liar or trying to BS us. No need to PM, I would rather be transparent. ESS makes some killer stuff
  15. Dimensions and retention is identical to my block, my blocks are the only ones for sale. Cost wise it make sense. I did not develop your system at all, I am not seeking to glom any credit for your work. I take no joy in your unit working sub par, work it out and take advice from those with experience. Stay humble, if you want to proof this thing correctly you need to get past the self imposed non disclosure and answer correctly as you have potential customers here. Let me assure you that there is no big money in this, I gave it all away to educate others and the end result was to involve as many as possible to overclocking. I was able to hopefully show better ways to build in the end and build my site the best repository of information on this topic.
  16. Calling spades the probe location still, my block mass takes a ~20c hit loaded even with LN2 unless the probe is not located on the block. In the block is the wrong answer, it needs to go on the face of the block or the IHS for proper measurement and use with controller. Humor me with one test ok?

Even with AS, you should not have ~120C temp delta. No complaints in your mounting, that should be fine since it is based on my retention design. I know Kal El, had dinner with him and his wife, met his family and been to his house in Hawaii, been to his parents house, hung out with his dad, checked out his awesome collections, and that doesn't make one bit of difference. From your screens you have really good chip based on vcore @ 5Ghz so are battling a lack of capacity as you breach 5Ghz
  18. Yes, the on die cpu temp is 100% correct at -2c in XTU, beyond -5c your board fails. Post a pic where the temp probe enters the line set please. Also, what TIM did you use for this so we can better guesstimate. And you never answered, how many watts are your heaters??
  19. You are claiming -128c and your XTU shows -2c and your board tops out at -5c based on the many XTU results. You are getting a > 120c swing in temps. I am assuming based on temp probe location and poor choice of thermal paste. Paste will get you a few more Mhz but as well all know the TIM under the IHS is solder so that is not an issue at these low speeds. You are only at 5Ghz... Let me quote you again: "the temperature readout on the display of the OCC is from a thermocouple placed at the base of the OCC" You are very welcome at XS, and we would love to help you work out the issues but your claims are not accurate at all. Post a pic showing your temp leads going to the block and not to the OCC please and I will apologies. Until then, I will still be cordial and offer my 2 cents. For the LN2 guys here, please take a minute to visit: http://www.lnlcooling.com/ You have the ability to build nice stuff no doubt but your claims are failing short, based on many samples of 5960X your cold bug is somewhere around -120c unloaded, you need to keep the cpu close to that temp to compete with pour method and a 120C swing is not even close.

Looking at your XTU results you are about to hit positive temps at 5040Mhz -2c. http://hwbot.org/submission/3111747_ Try some Gelid Extreme or Thermal Grizzly and you might be able to squeeze a few more Mhz from that chip. RIVE is the best board, good luck and 2v + input voltage might be needed on that chip
  21. To better clarify the overshoot. The distance from the valve to the block is excessive and that distance will have too much latency for the stupid controller to back off soon enough (your in and out points set on controller). I do believe you have a block heater based on the power leads going towards your block, amuse us... How many watts are these heaters located at the suction end of your block?
  22. I highly doubt that the temp probe is in the block based on temps on videos and your own statement from another site stating that the temp probe was at the valve. This is 98% of your fail, the controller is responding to the valve temp not the CPU IHS. I bet your CPU overheating based on controller failing to respond to load and you are banking non existent capacity of the block unloaded to hold a load. Your AMD results on LN2 is also huge fail, thus proving that the location of the temp probe is at the valve. Move the temp probe and try again. You will find out that you will need to remove the controller completely to maintain the perfect temp. I already know that you will overshoot and hit cold bug with the probe at the block in your current design unless you have a bug free chip or move the valve to the back of the block. You might be able to adjust your in and out points to get better functionality but as of right now, no one is impressed. Been here, done this 10 years ago. SVID on that board works great, all you needed to set was the multiple. No professional overclocker needed. Post a drawing of your block design. If you used my block that is ok, it is free to use. I can do 5Ghz XTU on chilled AOI with positive temps. (AOI is the cheapo "all in one" water cooler) to give you an example of how fail your cooler design is, my pressure fed LN2 loop hit 6.2Ghz on 5960X
  23. Yep, the cores are limited too. You should be able to hit 4.4Ghz fairly easy, hitting 5Ghz is like putting ice skates on a Yeti.
