Classified 980 problems?
No worries, I just know a lot of people have had issues with both on that particular card vs. the 2988 which ran awesome.

Classified 980 problems?
I don't know how to be any clearer than this, there is no work around for the 3988 SKU that I am aware of. Your best information will likely come in the EVGA Classified GTX 980 thread you posted in at KPC forums.

Classified 980 problems?
3988 SKU is not compatible with that BIOS if I remember correctly, I think it was only for SKU 2988

World Records -> why are they not done live?
While the idea is valid, in reality it's just not feasible like Roman said. Sometimes it takes days to get these multi card rigs running right, very seldom do they behave like you want on the first boot. It's a little more realistic at big events or HQ type gatherings as there are usually support people on hand willing to lend a hand. For the other 99.9% of the time, it would be an unnecessary burden to manage. I usually bench alone in my house, granted I'm not setting many WR's, but it's hard enough to produce top scores, get the screen shots just right, ensure the validation files and links are good and the rig not crashing without having to worry about a stupid video camera as well.

[FS] 2x 5960X RETAIL CPU's
Selling: 2x RETAIL LN2 benched 5960X CPU's. Only selling because I have a line on a 5.85+ chip and need to unload these to make it happen. 1st chip does 5.66GHz Fire Strike Physics on 1.6V at -120C Cold bugs around -125 C or so, cold boot bug is at -110 C This one is a low voltage type chip, would be pretty good on a single stager and watercooling I think. Batch # L430C066 2nd chip does 5.7GHz Fire Strike Physics ln on 1.71V at -95C This chip is more of a voltage scaler than the other. Cold bug at -103 and cold boot bug is at -88 C Batch # 3427B311 Also slightly better cache than the 1st chip. 5.682 today, new bios is limited to 1.7V 5.7GHz at 1.71V Prices: 5.66GHz: $1,200 shipped Global. CPU only, no box. SOLD 5.7GHz: $1,300 shipped Global CPU only, no box. PayPal is the preferred method of payment. Trades: I am interested in trading for a very good condition RVE for a CPU + cash.
