  1. Hm, okay. Trying to figure it out.
  2. I don't think anyone's arguing to remove points from the legacy benchmarks completely, but simply to reconsider the WR points for those specific benchmarks. The WR points were implemented to counter low-boint for multi-GPU/CPU WR scores in low activity categories. For example: 100 + 49.6 = 149.6 points for Fire Strike Extreme WR with 4 graphics cards 100 + 125.6 = 225.6 points for Aquamark3 WR with 1 graphics card One could argue that a distribution of 150 vs 125 for FSX versus AM3 is more sensical than 150 vs 225.
  3. You guys are too quick! I just enabled the points to fix the rankings and then disabled it pretty much immediately after. It's hard to get anything by unseen by this community

  5. Personally, I agree with Sam's arguments. The question is which benchmarks we consider legacy. Even the regular Fire Strike is CPU bound with multi-gpu.
  6. I'm not entirely sure of how to tackle this issue. The problem is that with the current tool it's possible to "photoshop" a valid one in to a screenshot. So the goal is to figure out a way to ensure that the Harmonic in the screenshot is the one used during the benchmark; or at least from the same session. Do you have any suggestions?
  7. I use the word "Revenge" assuming you're going to upload a video setting the motherboard on fire based on your previous reply. If I'm wrong, please accept my apology. Also, you're not getting banned for this thread or for any video you may or may not post. We don't have a tradition of banning people. I just want to make you aware that by posting such videos you may end up causing problems for people who tried to help. Agreed, this trouble may be minor but ... well, I just wanted to point it out. In the end, I hope your situation gets resolved somehow . No offense intended!
  8. Quick question: is this a wider spread issue or just your account?
  9. Just saw this thread, sorry for that. Seems like the points are indeed not updating. Looking in to this ...
  10. Added it as SATA 5000 in the database.
  11. Added
  12. Ah, found the issue. There are two accounts with the nickname Psycho. Not sure how that happened. Since your account is the youngest, I've changed your nickname to "Psycho-" for now. You can choose a different nickname if you want to, of course. But logging in with Psycho- will now work. You may have to try another password reset for this nickname though.
  13. What's the exact error? Do you get a message? Or just nothing happens?
  14. George, I understand you're upset about the board and want to "revenge" on ASUS, but please understand that your actions may also hurt those that were willing to help you out. You posted a thread on the forums and instantly people tried to help you by reaching out to contacts in the company. It's neither Christian's nor Adeline's responsibility to take care of ASUS RMA, but they tried to help you anyway. If you launch you "motherboard on fire" campaign, how do you think this will reflect on the two people who tried to help you out? Do you think they will receive happy emails from their contacts? Or do you think they will get blamed for trying to help? I understand your frustration, but please consider that you will end up hurting yourself and the two people who were trying to help more than you will hurt a company.
  15. Thanks everyone! :celebration: That's the nicest thing an overclocker said to me in a long time :D
  16. All your submissions are still there as far as I can see. I don't see anything strange to your account. To reset your password, maybe you're checking the wrong email?
  17. The HWBOT event is again the weekend after Computex, just FYI. Sure, I can check for a nice apartment again
  18. TOTAL = TOP15(GL+WR) + TOP(20) The WR points are on a separate tab, but the total takes the best 15 scores with combined GL and WR points.
  19. Qualification, but rules should be similar to last year (big prize, but pay travel yourself)
  20. OC Gathering will take place again, yes. Registration info soon!
  21. Alright, let's get this thread going!

  23. The application looks pretty nice. I think we need to add a couple more things to make it useable for HWBOT validations 1) An "Allowed for HWBOT" image as visual cue for users to know if their platformclock is correct (and a "not valid" with help-option if that's not the case) 2) Some kind of time-stamp for the application to make sure people don't photoshop a "valid" Harmonic in the validation screenshot 3) Some kind of validation for the benchmark application. Something like a mention in the Harmonic interface which benchmark was running during the Harmonic monitoring time. Is that possible?

  25. Add a hate-button to a user's profile page? "Steponz has: 20 followers and 1275 haters." ^^
