  1. Is it not just easier to mount while ambient and warm to +60, then pull down?

Not to put words in his mouth but I took it as him saying he does this after a crack, so running cold for a while and this is his method of re seating the thermal paste so he can keep benching

  2. So Spiedie's best efficiency is with jre6u20 (Win7?)

    Min 3989.60, max 4384.42, diff 394.82, ratio 9.90%, best jre6u20 G3258 4.7Ghz

And Raules had better luck with version : 9.0.x.x on W7 64

    test g3258

    version : 9.0.x.x

    os : win7 64

    4,7ghz 4429

I guess it's time to do some testing and see what I get

  3. Can't believe that ss is still here. Great build and excellent price.

Bump for a real good guy

I am buying this today, just need Dumo's Google Wallet info and she's mine !

  4. Prices slashed bump

I'll take the Tek 9 Pot, continue PM for PayPal info

Edit, Talked with Sunset1. He's got my Ph # if you guys need to call

  5. hi all.

    I have 2 kits of 3600c16 kit tested on OCF ATX. All of them can pass 4000 12 12 12 220 2t spi 32m@winxp 32bit, but failed @Win7 64bit.

    what's subtimings should be changed?

    thanks

Doesn't matter changing subtimings, 64bit OS is the problem. I believe you can change max mem in os to under 4000mb while mems in xmp and go back to bios and set bench timings and freq.

  6. Not sure how many guys I can fit though.

Haha, nice whip ! About 200 gallons of preminum fuel each way. Not to mention the required milage maintainance package for $20k for driving 2500 miles. Don't worry the car will send this info to the dealer whom will void your warranty if not done within 30 days. "Sorry pal, I've already let you pass on the stem lube but I legally can't let you drive off without the Lambo platinum wheel weights"

  7. Where do you live Wiggles?

If there is room in your truck for me take a look at the route you'de be taking. Pretty sure Milwaukee is out of the way but I could drive to meet up somewhere that isn't as long as its got long term parking or something, like an airport. No worries if you're full already. I would be down to stay wherever, hostel, hotel etc. And obviously willing to pay my share for fuel and room & board. Just trying to figure out if I should be getting a passport since I don't already have one

    1. Who is going? GtiJason, Interested depending on transportation and total cost

    2. World Tour or freestyle only? Tour most likely but still open on this

    3. Who can assist for the OC Workshop? Sure.

    4. Transport mode ? Bringing Dewar? Still looking, have a good 20L Dewar

    5. Are you ready to share place / room for sleeping? Share hotel room, airbnb or hostel

  8. On the way to a 5m57....s time. ;)

My best result from last night.

    3866 12-12-28 1T stable with Win7 64Bit, but no chance with XP32.

Stable Win 7 64 bit but not XP 32 bit, So strange beginning to think B die is an evil prank and there is someone out there who controls it's behavior simply to bunny with us. Well played Samsung but just know I'm patiently waiting for you to break, make that first mistake and it's over. :)

  9. I think I saw this 1 or 2 months ago. It is a good guide but the Asus names limit it.

Edit: I tried the latest bios version since I flashed it a few days ago.

    And...works like a charm....

Setting voltage above 1.150v for VCCIO was not possible.

I do still have the bug that after a few changes in the BIOS I have to load defaults again before I can change anything and expect it to still boot.

Edit2 (14:07): I do have a question about RTL settings.

When I look at the settings I see (example):

    RTL (CHA A) D0 = 67

    RTL (CHA A) D1 = 58

How can I set D0 or D1 seperatly?

There is only 1 value I can set in Bios for the both of them.

The D0 = 67 is the initial rtl timing when using two dimms, really no need to mess with these though I believe you can on Asrock OCF. Im sure Bullant will chime in with a clearer, more definitive answer eventually. He is the RTL/IOL master :)

  10. B-die is pretty weak IC ,(OP shows 4133 kit -I don't think this are B-Die ,more like E) if you can't run 32M stable in 32bit OS might as well send them back ,good luck finding the right kit

    Like these sticks ?

    sDqNQyg.png

Looks like B Die to me

    Ta5rRxj.png

Yep, sure are....... and yes I NEED a two dimmer bad. B die is a headache to say the least

  11. Maybe someone can explain this to me, since this thread is all about psc mems on OCF and we use super pi 32m to compare results on efficiency. Is it correct in saying you can take the seconds it takes to complete 32m and multiply them with cpu frequency to get a so called efficiency rating. Lets take my above run for example. It took 9m 13s 484ms or 553.484 seconds and multiply that by 3200mhz you get

    v5WEAIJ.png

If you take the fastest 5g time (Bullants time obv.) of 5min 56sec 328ms and multiply that by speed of cpu or 5001.8MHz you get

    7RdgtgM.png

Which led me to trying to figure out if my timings/run was any good, so I took my final number and divided it by 5000(mhz) and ended up with

    RuXfKNS.png

That would be 5m 54s 230ms or almost exactly 2 seconds faster than the most efficient 5g time, so there must be a variable I'm missing because I doubt my run done with ice cold AIR at 2666c8 stands a chance against a run with ln2 on mems at 2750c6. So obviously the scaling isn't linear, but is there a better method of dissecting efficiency ?

  12. Playing around on my OCF with a couple new to me 3258's and two slices of "Pi". Water/Air cooled with my window open while it's snowing. This is about as tight as these will go and still be stable, I've run tRFC lower but not in this combination so maybe a couple ticks left there but otherwise that's it. Standard timings at 1.83v and locked down timings at 1.85v

    QrkPVE4.png

Really thought I was running the speeds below, but sometimes the board boots this way and I have to use Rapid OC just one click up or down, any clock or voltage works. (So like Alt+2 then Alt+A, adds 1 to cpu multi)

Never had this one before, The Pi god's obviously weren't happy though
