question is if we need more benchmarks... answer is rather not... we have 3dmarks for graphics we have aqua for overall we have pifast wprime super pi for cpus what would give us cine? maybe good for 4 cores... in future we should move to benchmarks that will be in this 3 categories mentioned above graphics, overall, cpu and in every category there should be less benchmarks possible (only those which best fit in every category and are best validable and so on) thats my humble opinion

hi since there is so much burden on 12V rail in new systems why PSUs even from good brands have so mach amperage on 3,3V and 5V rails? and so much wattage on those rails and combined even ~150W if maybe 20W is used? can power for GPUs and CPUs be also drawn from those rails to support 12V rail?

it's low end mobo on chipset p945 accomodated to run core 2 duo at 1333fsb u shouldnt expect much from that mobo im downloading its manual to see if it has any oc functions if it has u can oc your cpu but dont expect mirracles ***edit*** this mobo has some oc fuctions so u can try a mild overclocking i dunno if it ll fry i guess not

u ve spent some mony on your hardware good ddr2 would be better i guess... but u got hardware good for future u may try going to 3.2ghz without changing settings in memory but if u wont succeed then memory is stopping u

i have low end psu said to be 400w but its maybe 300w 3.3v+5v <150w

multiplier is reduced when cpu is not used to save energy i have the same with my e2160 when i open cpu-z it shows x6 and 1200mhz but if with open cpu-z i lounch some application cpu wakes up and cpu-z shows that by showing x9 and 1800mhz screnie with lower multiplier will also be good, u see there is a rest crucial information shown correctly in other fields of cpu-z screenie

if u want a complete solution you may find it on net try google... if there is any solution u should be able to find it... http://jtbarker.wordpress.com/2008/04/03/40ghz-overclocking-by-core-2-quad-q6600-feel-the-power/ this video tutorial is kinda great for one who knows what is it all about in general (well i dunno what is your knowledge so if u would feel ofended by my post pls excuse me) u can just overclock cpu without overclocking memory by correctly adjusting fsb:dram multiplier/divider (dunna which name is proper) or just lowering memory freq when rising cpu freq but if u just cant adjust this the solution is simple... in the begining of oc u must set the lowest frequency for your memory that mobo allows and lower timings for that frequency (i assume u know that anchoring pci clock also is a must be!) then try rising cpu frequency at some point when u ve rised your cpu freq too high u may got errors... thats when u should by trial and error either lower timings or set higher vdram for memo (try first setting higher vdram) example... from my experience (which is minute btw lol) i have e2160 @ 1.8ghz fsb@200mhz and memory ddr2 800 cl5 (5-5-5-18 from spd) first in bios i anchor pci @100mhz, dram is in my bios mobo lowest 533mhz and i let it be timings from spd which are for 533mhz a 4-4-4-12 then i oc my cpu a little now its @2070mhz with pci @100mhz and dram@ 306.7=613mhz effective at 4-4-4-12 and if i wanted go higher i would oc my cpu more by lowering cl to 5-5-5-15 and if at some point errors come i would try rising vdram or lowering cl if that would be possible hope i helped lol (btw u need to have good mobo for oc i have shity one)

its normal for human race to go further, faster, higher u cant stop it everyone will do everything that is in his powres to make the better/best score so this is what i ve to say bout benching hardware combination if its bout 3dmark "tweaks" which cant be prooved lets make em legal lol

well so many experts here and my scores were validated... i always posted link to orb... and it was only me who spotted that smth is wrong... anyways i have a question since i have res 1152x864 making it 995328 pixels and valid scores are with 1280x1024 making it 1310720 pixels and 995328/1310720 is 0.759375 can i then make my score for example gotten in 3dmark06 3705x0.759275=2813 marks? ***edit*** anyways guys in front of me in gf8500 256 mb ram ddr2 competition doesent have link to orb and some of their screenshots are in funny resolutions how can u be then sure if they didnt do it on panoramic lcds? how ... how can u be sure that, when there is only screenshot without a link to orb, someone hasn't had same isu as me? i see serious flaw in hwbot competition... do u see it also?

hi i have spotted that my 3d mark results are in 1152x864 while rest of guys is 1280x1024 even though deafult 3d mark 06 stetings is 1280x1024 and i didnt change it coz i have free version i guess its coz i have 8:5 19" panoramic lcd screen is that mean that my results are not valid? its not my fault i have 19" panoramic lcd display

hi i have asus en8500gt its a silent card (fanless) i managed to oc it to 702/477 and now i have question i worry about this card at this point so will it sooner burn or just produce artifacts/hang when i ll go and overclock it further? currently if i run 3dmark it has ~96centigrades at 702/477 what would u recommend? quiting overclocking or trying it further... ps. this cards gpu overclocks by 27mhz tick so its not as safe as fluent overclocking by 10mhz or so on ps2. im not gonna overclock memorys anymore coz it hanged on 5xx/490 so i droped mem to xxx/477 and no further mem oc is planed thx for any replies
