  1. I've been sitting at same table as massman, thats gotta count for something!
  2. Warning; F9d for GA-Z77X-UD5H DO NOT KEEP VCORE AUTO WITH BOX COOLER !!!!!!! I did not pay attention, which I should have... Noticed maximum temp in realtemp hitting 89, opened CPU-z..1.44 -> 1.62v..... Ehm? Great BIOS!
  3. I hope to be there on behalf on one of those big websites :-) I do have a little experience, depending on who you ask that is
  4. Finallllyyyyyyyy !!!! 5th chip, finally above average!!! Batch; 3218C021 5ghz 1.304v 4/4 5ghz 32M (Not tried with HT enabled, yet.... Next step is 5.1ghz test...) Not tested IMC yet, hope it isnt crap, one step at the time, one step at the time! EDIT-1; 5100mhz 32M passed 1.41v EDIT-2; 5200mhz 32M passed 1.5v (1.485v crashed in 23th loop, grr) Jeeeeez forum is SLOW... MASSMAN you are IMPROVING your RUNNING times, PLEASE improve forum speed!
  5. So you brought as many as your arms can handle?
  6. MVG has great effeciency, unfortunately they are quite fragile, and tend to eat processors for breakfast.
  7. Sorry I couldnt make it, I am too busy with saving the whales. Have fun.
  8. Splavestar, can you please give heads up on IMC? Just got myself a new chip today, will test it in 3 hrs... 3218C021, Costa Rica.
  9. Which BIOS Goddy? Sounds pretty amazing to me... 'Unfortunately' my stick does not have XMP, as they are rated 12800 11-11-11-28... They are the Samsung ones But, I cannot go past 1200mhz on the UD5H, higher = 51... 1100mhz with 4 sticks = 51
  10. Contact cleaner? Not used kneaded rubber or vaseline, could be IMC degrading, but doubt it.
  11. Moral of the story; Splave & Dino will remain n00bs Jokes aside, always test at various settings before ditching stuff, hardware can be strange as hell - 'malfunctioning' multipliers etc.... As for cores I've had the experience that it is also based on board; Extreme6 4c/4t has been best for me (tested with 4 pcs), UD5H 2c/2t // 2c/4t equally good (only tested with 1 pcs so far)
  12. Oh man, please let me know how it goes, and how you suggest to fix it, I put them in the drawer straight away - I was trying to clock 4x4GB, and ran into a wall at exactly 1100mhz, I want to see if they can do 1400mhz..... If you have suggestions for work around I'll be one happy ginger!
  13. For what it is worth, I can confirm this... I am running 1.83v on Extreme6, while UD5H takes 1.925-1.965v, various on the BIOS version.
  14. PPL enabled, but..... A few changes when swapping to this board for a test... 5ghz 1.46v as well (for benchmarks), but, instead of 4c/8t, I can only run 2c stable, 1.452v actual during load, which is about same as before... Performance has been alot lower, especially in 2D tests... - This in compare to ASRock Extreme6. F8 was capable of handling DDR3-2630 8-12-8-27 1T 1.955v, while all the F9* I've tried have not been able to pull same at DDR3-2600 flat, and also it appears that less is more with the F9's, above 1.925v things become very unstable, actual voltage has been same for the settings.... Using LLC 'extreme' with all the BIOS, as it actually gave me 7mhz in first place... Perhaps it is the 'Auto' VTT that is slightly different in the F9-series, no matter what it is, it is for the worse with PSC.
  15. Thanks, will probably take it for a spin later today, if I dont get too pissed at the mobo
  16. Any description of changes/fixes?? At the moment my issue is stability on PSC.
  17. Obviously you've not seen Southpark, my apologies, wont use that name again.
  18. hope there will be a good BIOS for GA-Z77X-UD5H soon..... I think someone in BIOS team was listening to Mr.Trololo while improving the BIOS.... I cannot get into windows at DDR3-2600 after updating, same settings, awesome, I was looping benchmarks before, lol... :-) EDIT; F9D F9e, both are alot worse than F8...
