When resolution/benchmark settings are OK at fm link and shown result, I cannot check this anyway and afaik this has no influence on results. This is what I care about, the things I can check, so if you can provide a valid result with running this, it should be ok
You can see it under settings in validation link. Windowed mode...
But maybe you can change exe-properties in windows to run it in window. Don't know if that is possible...
Sorry for bugging you, but i just want to make sure.

Sigh, the 3dm11 rules apply for the competition and also for 3dm11 physics, I really wonder why people always change things after their own gusto. It is part of 3dm11 and it should be clear you don´t change settings.
Ok, how about running windowed mode? It can help to set bclk on the fly for boards that don't have oc keys or oc panel support. It doesn't really affect settings...

@Calathea Bench with internet connection and log in before saving file. Don't know if there are other ways to do it but that worked for me.

Ok, there are no official rules for 3D11 Physics. I see that some people in the low clock challenge have modified the settings, like modify resolution, ambient occlusion, etc. is that allowed? Changing things doesn't seem to affect score as it's all CPU calculations anyway...

WP is 960x540, is it correct?
-
I understand. But to have 32m and 3d11 physics as benchmarks is not fair to contestants or sponsors...

I ran some tests. Sysinfo doesn't report highest fluctuation so 6003 should be fine.
One more thing, rules do not say that we have to use galax 1060 for physics and 32M so I assume any vga is ok here? 1060 would probably not be good for 32m because there is no XP support as far as I know...

I thought the competitors get announced on the 10th? So you have 7 days of knowing who's in the competition before it ends
Yes, and I would like all competitions to be like this!
-
Just wanted to say that I think the idea that you have to register for the competition is a very good idea and would like that in all competitions. I have no problem with sandbagging, but when you don't even know who you're up against it's just too sneeky. There is constantly like 10 guys posting in the last hours who have posted nothing before...

You don't really need it. I have had no problems with black screens.

I'd come if there is a cinebench tex modding contest!
No, seriously, I would love to make it again. Last was really good! But depends on the dates, and how certain qualifiers go, family etc...

Ok, so we need to bench at 99.75...because 100.00 will be above 6003, maybe not all the time but we can't know until we sub to 3dmark.com.
What we mean is that 6003 doesn't cover fluctuation. Not that we want to push the limit...
-
Hmm, cpu freq is limited to 6003 MHz. Which is fine for 32M, but I'm not sure about the fire strikes. If we set 60x100 we will see at least 6003 in sysinfo, but it is very likely to be higher now and then. Especially for 3d11 physics this is a problem as you can't see reported speed until you upload file...
Maybe frequency limit should be slightly higher?

Can we use other vga than rx460 for physics stage? It makes it much simpler to bench if we don't have to unmount and reflash bios etc for vga to run them aircooled...
-
I think it's a shame that it won't be a fair competition. Good luck bullshooter with afr/mfr in spi32m and physics.
Can't you find a way to make it more fair? Like do separate mem sponsor in finals, or go with non mem intensive benchmarks.

You don't need good memory for x99. Otherwise I have a 4133 zadak stick for you. PM if interested
-
board binning is very true indeed. First board managed 4000 12-12-12 with wazza. second board exactly the same. So I started to wonder if my memory was bad (Galax HOF) and that maybe my good g.skill had gotten degraded. But then I tried a third board and it just works. HOF will probably do 4133 12-12-12 or 4080 12-11-11 after a little tweaking and some cold on CPU, they passed a couple of loops just from dialing in timings. Great memory!
Edit: this is not only true for Asus impact. I also tried a MOCF and had the same bad results...

Any update on when the prizes will be shipping?
-
Still don't think it makes sense. This way you make it useless for people having z170 as well as x99 setups. Which would be like 90% of the users here probably... The only way to win would be with 6 core X79 setup.
-
I would go with: bring on skylake/haswell/kaby lake (whatever non-HEDT) 3D benching
-
You UK guys know how to promote overclocking and create a strong community!
-
This makes no sense. Now we should bench X79???

Great scores as usual!

I really like the list of participants in the wild card comp, so let's do an unofficial list here as well![:)](https://community.hwbot.org/uploads/emoticons/smile.png)
I'm in! (obviously)
Who else?
