  1. I agree.

No CPU & VGA sharing at all.

Earlier I would have agreed with that right on the point but currently we have a very difficult situation (I leave out everything regarding result moderation, don't wanna think of the problems caused by the new rule there) at the moment: you want to bench 06 or vantage with some older cards --> you need GT. You can't effort GT? Well you are more or less F****.

Personally I am taking a little break from OC atm and watching the things happening from "a bit far away" but some of my team mates are still as enthusiastic as on the first day. So I am sending my starving GT (not used it myself since 3 month or so) to team mates far away from me and let them have some experience with GT.

You must know that this GT is not one of thoose cherry berry picked ones but random organized Q3QP back in october last year...none of my team mates would try to submit 2D scores with that chip (hardly 6gig pi or pifast ^^) or aim for any global scores - they just need it for e.g. 8800 GTS cards or X1XXX radeons for some hw-fun. I am happy I can give them the opportunitiy and think everybody in a good team that lend some good hw from a friend welcomes that you still can share some parts of hw and do not need to buy it all on your own alone.

there is a certain "ethic" line you have to draw of course. explaining that is quite simple: have you seen me submitting scores with stummerwinter's magic 975? We benched it together many times and we could have brought me right behind him easy with that chip (had GPUs enough on my own!) but we NEVER did so and NEVER will do...just that simple if you call yourself a true and honest overclocker :)

  2. Actually it's knowledge ( or should I say step by step guides ) that people HAND OVER to you and only you.

It's not like people find thoose things during the compeition - we often had situations where it was a special bios or mod that was non-pub...I consider that as "unfair".

It is surely different if somebody figures it out himself on it's own, keeps his knowledge during the competition and shares afterwards...but that's not the case with things around tweaks/mods/bios sometimes...

  3. Hmm...that car accident reminds me of something....brrr..

    had something similar lately?

    @leegi haha good boy :D

oh dudes today they told me (finally) "the car will not be repaired anymore, too expensive".... so late in the afternoon I grabbed train ticket to my company to get a different (used) company-car tomorrow...that screwed my planned nice non-oc-week-end with my gf....damn :(

  4. AM3 epic fail!

    :D

Was double epic fail :nana: I missed 400k another time - this time due to wrong GPU...when I would have been able to drive with my own car (what was not possible due to this:

I would have had ASUS 5870 with me with 1300+ for sure - for me AM3 is next one to go for...new CPU is already organized :D

  5. @SOF : if there's any sort of article pops up , link me to it plz

    Kind regards Albrecht

article is under construction I'll post it here when ready - translation is also planend :)

Big thanks to Michael for organising and inviting me to this event

    Big thanks to SoF!

    Thanks to Leeghoofd and M.Beier!

    Special thanks to Namssam =)

And thanks to whole Award Fabrik crew and German overclocking community - you are really great guys!

Hey Dimitry good to see you also made the looong way back well! Was really nice to have you there. I can't wait for your video

I am very happy to hear you all had a great time :celebration:

  6. Hi there,

thanks to massman, leeghoofd, neo_force and m.beier for joining our 3rd AOCM :celebration: here we would like to share results and pictures with you :)

There was a certain level of "massman-glorification" what really scared me :P

Thanks to ASUS I could test a 470 GTX - 1st place in 470 GTX hw-ranking '06 33333 with my crappy Q3QP - 05 was also very cool with this card!

Couldn't resist testing my MIIIE another time :D #6 Dual Core CPU wprime1024 global - didn't had the time for 1m, but I think this chip won't go any higher than I tested before so I was ok with that one ;)

Thanks for coming to AOCM everybody and see you anytime soon on another event! :celebration: Also your reply about AOCM is welcomed in the english topic @AwardFabrik or here ;)

    best regards

  7. Hey friends!

today I finally could manage my first single card session this year with my Gulftown fully DICE cooled. Hardware-wise it run quite smooth and I am very happy to report: all ok, no injuries, no deaths so far :D

GPU pot is hard to handle with DICE - temps go up to -45°C during longer benches like 06 and vantage, I am refilling all the time. I captured some videos of me benching, hope to find the time to cut and post them within the next days.

    Pics from preparations:

and now the scores - maaaan I am starving for LN2, DICE is just not half as fun :P

Aquamark 3 375k @ 5476 MHZ CPU - had a run at 5.5 GHZ with over 380k but AM3 didn't liked me today and failed with grey stripes a couple of times ^^

3D Mark 2003 104k - just quickly benched at the very beginning...hate it still ;)

    3D Mark 2005 43.6k - that's more like it, I like 05 sooo much, think 44k within the next days ;)

    3D Mark 2006 - 31.1k GPU has some room just a "Save-Run"...

3D Mark Vantage Performance - 25.6k - wrong driver, but still not too shabby...hard to handly with DICE GPU as well as CPU...refilling all the time

    5yqonffw.jpg

Well that brought me back into TOP30 today and maybe I can gain some more places during the next days (still have 20kg+ DICE here)!

    regards

    SoF

  8. I talk to Tony every Cebit since 3 years I think - he always has a bit different sight of view on the things but always quite interesting. Also his watercooling ideas we've been talking about this cebit were very interesting, even it was nothing what will hit the retail market anytime. thanks to him for a good chat again :)

apart from that let me remember some names I enjoyed meeting for the first time on Cebit (unsorted): FOGNA, Monstru, Pt1t, NeoForce, leeghoodf, ryba and of course meeting all the others again: finally saw giorgio and hiwa again, my friends from italy, the crazy guys from denmark :D (yaaay we kept pushing it -.- ) and in the end I also met massi briefly - too bad we all have been so busy on Cebit, waiting for AOCM now - there will be some more time to talk for sure :D
