some interesting stuff XA. i agree, with alot of it. i think eaaaaaaaaarly on MSI should have said their non-ref 780 must be used for the comp, or something like that. because reference 780 or titan + evga epower doesn't mean alot towards MSI. BUt i agree it showcases the skill of the overclocker to mod cards and use epower. which i don't mind, i already have my evbots, i just cant get ahold of any epowers

i think perica still had the best idea, they should send all the competitors currently in the competition hardware. either send us 780 gaming with the mods and bios's and ABX. or early lightnings. It will be nice release date press

yea but not sure if it will help if you are not at 4.9ghz or higher, uncore only helps your score when it's close to CPU mhz, but not higher. so you would need to be on 5ghz for 4.8 to mean something. but yes if you can do it you can atleast see if your cpu is capable

well.. my 1.5v chip did 6.2, then my 1.42 chip did 6.28 then my 1.38v chip did 6.375 and now my 1.25v chip does 6.2 :<

I got excited too fast. It can do wprime 32m 4c 8t on 1.35v. But ln2 cb was -105 and max clock like 6.2 2c pifast. Siiiiiigh now what are we suppose to look for

i do if you really want. I delidded it and replaced with liquid metal ultra, it does 5ghz at 1.5+ tho . but its cool cause of the metal paste. and still has warranty cause i replaced it with black silicone. batch L310B488

what volts on VRIN and uncore and uncore speed? just to compare, i need a nice range between vrin and vcore for my cpu. like 1.7vore needs to be 2.81vrin

I tested with 2c 2t and 2.2 vrin for all my 5ghz tests. And 2800 memory. And h60 with 20c ambient and gc xtreme paste

we all get 0x124 bsod yes, thats just when the cpu is too unstable for the clock, i do feel like these cpu's have some light walls that you can't cross even with alot of volts
