different between radeon X700

Recommended Posts

Hi guys :)

Some days ago I have found a legacy GPU, a GeCube Radeon X700 512MB DDRII

http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/radeon_x700_512mb_ddr2/

But there is a problem:

I and these people have this device ID 1002-5E4D

Our card works with 400mhz on core and 275mhz on memory

But this two people have another Device ID and different card but they have submitted their scores in the same category...

True monkey

Has an X700 with 1002-5E4B with 256mb (not 512mb)

And works with 425mhz on core and 350mhz on memory so is a simple X700pro with 256mb!

Meiyo at the end has an X700 with 1002-5657 and it works at 400-350,

So is a simple Radeon X700

He must put in this category:

How do you think about this situation?

Is wrong?

Cheers Claudio

These old cards can be a mess.

As per spec, X700 should have 400/350 stock clocks and GDDR1 memory. Usually these cards come with device ID 1002-5E4D.

As per spec, X700 Pro should have 425/432 stock clocks and GDDR3 memory. Usually these cards come with device ID 1002-5E4B.

But you also have cards like the ones you mentioned that are neither here nor there. It's really hard to say whether they are upgraded versions of X700 or crippled versions of X700 Pro (especially that drivers and stock clocks can be manipulated) so it really depends on personal view of the person in charge of hardware categories, Antinomy.

Ok maybe you have reason, perhaps not at all

Anyway your opinions means that all submissions made by true monkey are in wrong category

In the same times this is a x700
