BenchBros Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Cache? No need... RAM? No need... RAW CPU POWER? No idea... I never tested this benchmark but the scaling with MHz looks weird... Quote
sofos1990 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Yes, Andi seems like it's only CPU power. Same goes for VGAs. Mems didn't help on my testing at least on 290X. Quote
BenchBros Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 So we have another HWBot Prime Best binnung wins... Quote

The CPU implementation depends heavily on the OpenCL drivers. You are using the Intel drivers, which aren't the best choice. Try again with AMD's OpenCL 2.0 drivers, it should be faster (I used them in this score). Yes, the bench loves raw MHz and I am glad about that (that's actually what I like most about SuperPI. ). But that's not the whole game. Memory can be important too and can make a difference of 10 seconds or more, depending on the platform. You can optimize it by having a look at the reduction time in the statistics (last line). Quote
Crew Leeghoofd Posted April 10, 2015 Crew Posted April 10, 2015 There's also more to HWBOT prime than just raw MHz Andi Quote
BenchBros Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 Yes... the correct Java version and some other tweaks: Maybe Cache helps. But for high Cache you need higher Oc-Socket-Voltage and this makes your CB worse. So lower Cache and more Core MHz is much better This is what I see from my testing Quote
steponz Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 sofos steals my thunder lol... good job man.. it is a strange benchmark.. ill have to play a bit on ss and see whats up.. Quote
