Barton Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester Pi Fast points were awarded to M.Beier even though he chose NOT to participate in the HW Bot rankings. Shouldn't those points be awarded instead to those members below him who did choose to participate in the rankings? See both of the web pages linked below: http://www.hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_3200_winchester?tab=2drankings#/manufacturer.rankings.do?applicationId=6&manufacturer=amd&hardwareTypeId=CPU_263&hardwareType=CPU&tabid=cpubenchmarks http://www.hwbot.org/community/submission/593396_m.beier_pifast_athlon_64_3200_winchester_43.34_sec ========================================================================================= The same user, M.Beir's Super Pi 32M time was NOT to have participated in the rankings, but also received points. http://www.hwbot.org/community/submission/593397_m.beier_superpi_32m_athlon_64_3200_winchester_26min_14sec_0ms http://www.hwbot.org/hardware/processor/athlon_64_3200_winchester?tab=2drankings#/manufacturer.rankings.do?applicationId=7&manufacturer=amd&hardwareTypeId=CPU_263&hardwareType=CPU&tabid=cpubenchmarks The above link show the points it received that it shouldn't have. Anyway, it needs to be corrected, too. .. Edited January 17, 2011 by Barton add yet another time that shouldn't have received points Quote
Barton Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Is anyone going to fix this or is it, too, waiting on Rev. 4.0? Quote
Maxi Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Your links are not working. /edit strange I can get there wihtout the www, lemme look at this...but generally this kind of thing is a bug in current bot rev mods can do nothing about. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I'm thinking it's a bug, but on the other hand... the scores do actually beat the ones below them, and AFAIk he's not using a special sample - so in some way, it's fair enough that those results "steal" boints from the worse scores. However, I didn't code this - Massman must clarify if this is intended or not:D And if it can be fixed. Quote
Massman Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 I didn't code it either . Must be a bug. The 'no-point' option hasn't been updated along with the different ways to calculate points, I think. We won't fix this bug for the Rev3 as Rev4 will be completely different again (database-wise). I just removed the points manually now. Quote
