Posted January 18, 201114 yr Hello. I have an Inno3d GTS 250 512mb. The thing is... It has 1.05v as its stock... Can I flash... Let's say, an ASUS GTS 250 512mb BIOS that has 1.3v as its stock??? Is it possible?
January 18, 201114 yr Possibly, depends on the memory chips at least (maybe other things as well). Save the old bios, in case you have to blind flash if you try it.
January 18, 201114 yr Author i see... If it is possible... Then I still might have a chance of getting more juice out of my GPU...
January 19, 201114 yr Author I still have no Idea if this is possible. Can someone please confirm it?
January 19, 201114 yr My first guess is no. Definitely a different PCB layout, a fair chance of using different PWM controllers. If you're using a "Green" GTS250, you're probably out of luck for good clocking Edited January 19, 201114 yr by K404
January 19, 201114 yr I've tried it, but no luck. Had a black screen on first boot. Had to reflash it with a pci card to get it working again. You could try bios editor if it's possible to alter the voltage, but here it didn't work eighter.
January 21, 201114 yr Author what's the problem with the hard-voltmod ? I earn a dollar a day I got no experience soldering stuff Me gots no money to replace the card in case something goes wrong
January 23, 201114 yr Then don't do it:) There's always a risk, and I guess you won't gain THAT much just from the extra voltage.
