February 8, 201115 yr I went to the XS party in Vega,s when I saw on the Fugger's table a PCIex 16, and went after one. It's great because you do not need to be concerned about VGA condensation on the motherboard and makes the benchmark more fun. I took today that I had sold my 990x and bought a 980X, to use about 15 liters of nitrogen that was left, I opted for XP and 3DMark06, so I could test the CPU and video card with the Extender at the same time. The result was fine for only one benchmark Waiting for a new charge of LN2 to test another benchs. Best regards for all :up:
February 8, 201115 yr I think people tested this with PCIe riser ages ago, the reason why this never caught on is the extra latency caused by slot extention.
