cbjaust Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 less efficient than current No.2 (https://hwbot.org/submission/963290_mad222_superpi___1m_athlon_ii_x2_240_14sec_422ms/) but 400 and then some MHz extra gets the job done. Quote
cnzdrn Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 It's just a binning result. The only way to see what a chip can do is cooling it with ln2 Quote

I thought maybe max FSB on ambient would give an indication. Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Depends. Usually you can bin for FSB on air/water and in my limited experience they scale pretty linear on LN2, so I can predict what would be the max frequency possible. There are other factors though - voltage scaling, NB coldbug (yes there are such CPU's), IMC coldbug. Quote
cnzdrn Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 On ambient some chips are really bad. For example I test 2 sempron 140, one can do 408 the other only 395 on ambient, with ln2 the 408 stops at 390 the other see my sub. Another example is one of my 150 that can do 440 fsb but can't go over 5900 max on core frequency. I need to retest that chip. 1 Quote
Alpi Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Nice result ! Sooner or later, we'll see ddr3 wr's I guess, when we have ddr2's now. Anyway, I'm so amazed at your work ! I'm really curious ! Quote
