Hello, so I flashed X7P (Z690) for my z690 tachyon, I can't get 7800 stable.

My ram kit is 7800 c36 g.skill, no ram fan on it.

So to get 7600, I just set XMP and memory system multipler on 7600.

13900K

1.40vdd

1.45vdd2

1.2 SA

RDEQ 2

Didn't change anything other.

Could someone help me please ?

i have a Z690 tachyon with the same kit on a 13900KS. i can get 8000C34 daily stable, bench up to 8600C34 on it.

for xmp there is nothing to change inside the bios.

If it's too difficult in your case to get it stable try this :

1.2V SA

1.3V VDDQ

1.4V VDD2

RDEQ mode 2

Flare mode + DDR bus response at 3-5 (i didn't try wirhl mode for now)

if it's not working try 1.35V VDDQ and 1.45V VDD2

Okay, so now 7800 is stable.

Where can I find MC voltage ?
also, is 1.54 vddq & 1.5vdd2 is dangerous for motherboard / ram for daily ? I know its very high, I want just to know !!!!

mc voltage are juste above mem voltage menu,

cpu vddq (vddq tx in hwinfo)

cpu vdd2

you have to find the right voltage for them. it's a sweet spot.

on tachyo  with 13th gen it's arround 1,35v vddq and 1,45v vdd2.sometime it's lower.

there is no need for overvoltage. juste set 1,3 V vddq and 1,4v vdd2 under 8000 mt/s

1,35 vddq and 1,45 vdd2 above 8000 mt/s

for higher freq you will need to play with vccsa, 1,2v is ok up to 8266, 1,25 at 8400, 1,3v at 8600. but like vddq and vvd2 you will need to find the right voltage for your cpu.

for freq up to 8400 you can use rdeq mode 2, above 8600 you may need rdeq mode 1

for mem voltage, tachyon need to have a gap between vdd and vddq(vddq mem not vddq cpu). 0,1 v between both on mine above 8000 mt/s

and yes 1,54 v vddq and 1,5v vdd2 is really high. even for competitive oc.

you dont have to push that much and vddq cpu is still lower than vdd2 cpu by 0,1v.

just for exemple 8400c32 is really easy on z690 tachyon for gb3 at 1,35v vddq and 1,45v vdd2 on my 13900ks

Hello, 7800 is finally not stable, 1.40 / 1.45...

I have been able to get 7700 c34-44-44 fully stable.

I saw a post on twitter about z790 tachyon, does z790 tachyon have the same voltage name as z690 ?

He said that

1.4 for TX ( idk where this is)
1.5-VDD2

1.48 1.48 vdd/vddq

but isn't VDD = vdd2 ?

  • 1 month later...

I have a z690 tachyon and I can't get a 12600k with AVX to working with a XOC bios that's higher than X4. X6 and X7 don't work. I get post code 98 after reboot. If I use the 12100f it works perfectly fine. Any ideas?

CPUID identically on both but I'm unable to get it running with Ecores on. Everytime 98. After reactivate e cores I'm unable to get into bios. Need to swap to my 12100f without Ecores to get it set to Gamermode again.

hello, I just bought a Z690 tachyon. I have a problem adjusting my Vcore. In the bios the preview shows me 3.062 V (which is impossible, it's a bug). But the main problem is that I cannot modify my Vcore no matter what value I enter, it remains at around 1.15 (the stock Vcore I think). I see the same value on several software programs (cpuZ, HWmonitor....ect). I am on Bios X3I but I had the same problem with the latest official bios F28. I read the topic and I didn't find anyone experiencing this problem, is my card defective? THANKS

reset to default(clear cmos) enough on X7p_edited

After Clear Cmos, now I have code 28. Even with 12100F. Unable to revive it for now. Q flash button don't work also. Backup bios still working fine so I can flash it the normal way but still strange. Works fine after reflashing bios.
