hi, I’m using x7r for tachyon. I can boot on 8400 with a die, but cannot boot on 6800@7600 with mdie during my yesterday attempts.

is this bios better for adie?

Should i use f8 instead?

Hello, you should try rdeq1, if i remember correctly it was needed for me on mdie for 7466c32 on Elite AX

Old M-Die works also fine with X7P but don’t forget, old M-DIE can’t boot so high on Air. I was able to bench with 14900k up to 7200 1T and 7600 2T

Hello, someone can help me?

Im currently using z790 tachyon x ( X7R BIOS)- 14900KF 98 biscuits

8200 C38-46-46-46 or 8200 C34-46-46-46 error around 2-3 minutes in Karhu.

SA 1.24

CPU - 1.4 - 1.45

DRAM - 1.55 / 1.55

rdeq mode 2 + flare mode...

Temperature never exceed 30c

What can I do to have a daily 8200 ?

your voltages for CPU are to high.

Try SA 1.2 / CPU 1,30/1,35 and check if it`s mor stable or not.

You can also select directly 8400 profile which is stored in the bios, it works fine as start point

Your SA is too high for the 14th gen. I have the same board and 14900K. Here are the numbers that are going to work for you

SA - 1.14v

TX  - 1.30v

VDD2 - 1.45v

Btw. If you don't want to waste your time waiting for Karhu to finish, run Y-cruncher and then play BF2042. If you have a slightly unstable platform you will get BSOD or hard restart in BF2042.

Yo, I will try this tomorrow, great thanks.

I keep 1.55 for dram vdd / vddq ?
If it's not stable, can I increase SA ? Or even TX to 1.35?

1.55 should be good enough. Stay with DDR5 8200 C38 for now.

If it is unstable keep TX at 1.30. and for SA, start with 1.14 and increase by ten 1.15, 1.16. I bet you will be fine at 1.14. and VDD2 set to 1.45

Here is C36 DDR5 8000 which will give you better latency than what you are trying to do with assuming you have a really good cooling for it

It says VDD2 1.474 however it is set to 1.450v in BIOS. Also, it says 1.155 for SA but it is set in BIOS  to 1.14.

I use X7o BIOS. Also, make sure you cool that mem well. Every silicon is a bit different but this would be your starting point. I would leave RAM to default XMP profile, 8000 speed. You can tweak it later.

Almost forgot, set your timing for RAM -> Flare. Also, leave the CPU clock speed on AUTO. Do not overclock your CPU until you find a stable overclock for memory. I hope this helps. Leave low latency and high bandwidth options to AUTO. You don't need to have it enabled because you will tweak your timings manually later.

I have tested on Z790 Tachyon X with X1a, X7p and X7r, everything works fine with 14900ks. Zarok77 is also with 14900ks on his Tachyon without problems. Also on Z790 non X everything is fine with it.

If you are on non X board, F3 Bios is pretty old, I would try new bios for KS

last one is 2 days old with better support for 14900KS
