November 15, 200618 yr I think PCMarks were not meant to be run that way and RAMdisks distort the results too much. Would become pretty much obligatory to use them when wanting a decent result. So as in FM PCMark05 hof, we removed the ramdisk results. iRAM is allowed. btw thanks K404 for posting this, i should have written sth about it.
December 25, 200618 yr Need a little cleanup here, two Ram disks in the rankings. Just follow the lowest Mhz and you'll find them http://www.hwbot.org/hallOfFame.do?type=result&applicationId=9
May 22, 200718 yr So as in FM PCMark05 hof, we removed the ramdisk results. With all due respect, now it seems like ramdisk ia allowed in HOF http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/
May 23, 200718 yr Moderators This matter will require your undivided attention http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/ http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm05=837099 http://www.futuremark.com/news/50981_top_20_3dmark06pcmark05_movers_shakers/ The result was officialy approved by administrators of HOF. it is obvious, they changed their mind about ramdisk
May 23, 200718 yr Guys at ORB moderation are a bit slow of doing things.....Probably coz they don't care (see 2k1 scores - not open the 100k barrier YET after THAT much time) .... So they probably not have seen the resaults OR they don't care any more......They get their money when we buy their software so who cares!.....
May 23, 200718 yr FM is slow, we are not. Ram Disks are not allowed here or by FM, they will be pulled eventually by FM. Please pass this on to your team mates so we can avoid any confusion in the future. Thanks for your attention and happy benching.

I would say they are VERY slow  Some results with software RAM Disks from HOF have been posted more then 1 month now ... and nobody cares
June 4, 200717 yr The use of ramdisk has nearly no effect on superpi (it does, but it's sooooo small...), so we allow it for spi use.
June 5, 200717 yr We only remove PCMark 05 results with software ram disks, feel free to use them in any other bench test.
