drnip Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 This has prolly been discussed in the past but I would like to see in the future a place to input your CPU Batch #. Some peoples I know from them posting in other forums but others I don't. It would also be a nice way to track them. Quote
komadyret Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 In the meantime it is a possibility to enter it in the description field (and thus very optional). But it sure would be NICE to have it as a separate field, and searchable Quote
drnip Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 I would imagine that the user would have to input the info as it would be too hard maintaining it on your end. At least I think so. Quote
Kal-EL Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I think its good db info that would be heavily searched and utilized. Dozens of forums already have threads dedicated to batch# performance and it draws huge search hit #s as well. Quote
BenchZowner Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I'd say a single alphanumeric value ( e.g. L741A485 ) And don't limit the input characters, because there are longer batches out there, like the ones ending with a T ( e.g. L741A485T ) Quote

It would be great if there was a system that worked for both stepping/batch systems. Quote

( just kidding ) A drop-down menu to select AMD or Intel would be nice, and useful to quickly tie the batch numbers with the manufacturer instead of linking them with the processor name. Quote
Massman Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 We know the manufacturer of the processor, so a drop down is not necessary. Just a alphanumeric text field, 30 chars long then? If we want to have a decent database, we need people to enter the code in the same manner as everyone else. Will we implent this feature in revision 3? If yes, I can bring a stash of cpu's with me and show you what's important Quote
