My latest insulation application... About 30 minutes start to finish, ready to bench immediately. Ready for the worst, pretty much fool proof.

If you want to clean it up regularly, this isn't for you. If you need to clean it up, cleans up easy at 200F in the oven, propping the board up so the vaseline runs off. If the oven isn't your thing, put the board in a box propped up to runoff with a hair dryer pointing in. Either way, most the vaseline comes off this way - a run through the dishwasher removes remaining trace amounts of residue to "like new".

I use vaseline too. Vaseline and a bunch of sheets of toilet paper. Not much condensation issues from this method, but I wouldn't recommend being as sloppy as I am if you want to run the same setup for several hours at -196:p But it literally takes 1 minute to insulate :)

I use kneaded eraser and once bought a board that had nasty vaseline on it. Spent so much time removing it, so the eraser could finally seal on the pcb :/
