Honestly, there is no reason that you can't use CPU-Z. There are others that have with no problem even at your high OC and XP. Random example:

http://hwbot.org/submission/2274948_theking_3dmark06_radeon_hd_7970_41912_marks

It's not working for you because you're on the edge of stability, and this makes your SS invalid. Stop trying to skirt the rules and run a good submission. It's up to the person making the submission to supply a rules conforming SS, not the staff to give you alternatives. There are exceptions, but that is usually for just super old hardware.

My bad. I thought this was all changed in the new rules page that we're still waiting for. :P

By your reasoning that means this is still valid too.

http://hwbot.org/news/882_application_10_rules/

But by all means, let's make it easier for the slackers to submit BS screenshots. Kinda defeats the purpose of rules, wouldn't you say?

Hmmm......

http://hwbot.org/news/7914_rules_update_2012_hwbot_general_rules_and_guidelines

section 2.1 says you're wrong.

and section 2.2 obviously hasn't been updated.

Finally, the sub is NOT valid by reason of the rules that you DO enforce, right here.

Not using current CPU-Z.

It would be extremely harsh to block a sub because an old CPUZ version was used for CPU speed etc. The important part is that it is recent enough to display the information correctly. The last link you used is also for CPUZ subs only, not 3DMark. The 3DMarkxx pages have no limitation on CPUZ version I think.

I wouldn't mind having mem tab mandatory for 3D, but that's not the case today. Perhaps time to discuss it, i think most people add it anyway.

Whatever.

UPDATE THE GOD DAMN RULES PAGE !!!

Not but a week ago I had to delete 20 of a team mates subs for just the same foolishness as this. If you're going to pick and choose what's enforced and on whom, then don't even bother updating it. There's always gonna be an excuse.

I don't know who have told you to do what (definatly not me), but there are no restrictions on CPUZ version written in the AM3 rules - effectively that means what I said: use whatever version that correctly displays frequencies and so on. That's the only reason we want CPUZ tabs to be included in the first place. Same for the general rules, no version requirements. And if someone pointed you to the CPUZ benchmark rules, well... that's a mistake. CPUZ benchmark rules have NOTHING to do with AM3, or any other benchmark than CPUZ:)

I'm not arguing with you. :) 99% of the time I agree with you.

The stuff I had to delete wasn't CPU-Z related, but just as stupid and foolish. That was my only point. Water under the bridge now, not a big deal.

Can we just get the rules completely updated.........please......soon?:)

Thank you very much ximi,

This morning I re-tested the 1.61 version and ....... surprise! now works correctly. I do not know what happened. The only change is

4x4gb Ripjaws 2133

for

Trident 4x4gb 2400

cpuzok.jpg

the rest of the pc is the same

I have made benchmarks with 1 x nvidia gtx 275 and nvidia gtx 275 sli.

benchmarks275.jpg

They are made with version 1.57, but i repeat them with version 1.61, but will try your version too, thank you very much again ximi.

I feel all the problems caused.

thaks

Nicolas
