Threedhero Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Picked up this board the other day with a 4770k and did a fresh install of XP but i'm not able to install the chipset drivers from the cd. Also checked the gigabyte site and saw no support for XP any thoughts on how to or where the get drivers for install? I've seen a few subs using XP on this platform around the bot. Any help would be great. Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) Do you mean the Intel INF drivers or the Intel Management Engine Drivers? At this point, Intel has not released ME drivers for XP. I have searched Intel's site and they were only for W7 and W8. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3598&DwnldID=22596&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+8+Series+Chipset+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+DZ87KLT-75K&lang=eng So for now, BCLK adjustment will not work in Windows XP. Threedhero Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) Not sure if they are INF and Intel Management Engine Drivers. But the issue is i have no drivers for CPU, chipset family, PCI bus ect ect ect.... So mostly everything within the Device Manager is without drivers. Think i've found part of my issue here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?286318-The-GIGABYTE-Z87X-OC-Review-with-4770K "Another issue is a platform issue, that is Intel's USB 3.0 really sucks without drivers, it wont even work without them(except in the UEFI). So when you install windows you need to use USB 2.0 ports or PS/2 or else you are in for a headache." Edited June 4, 2013 by Threedhero Quote

The ME drivers I have allow me to change bclk in Windows with TurboV on the M6E. Quote

l0ud_sil3nc3 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 XP for sure will check when I am back at the house and upload. Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Yeah, that would be great. Is it the Z77 IME? Or were you able to install the Z87 W7 32-bit version in XP? Quote
Threedhero Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Okay i was able to get XP drivers loaded but now also having the same issue as Bass with BCLK clocking. Bass were you able to install Easytune? Also in the device manager do you have any devices not installed? Quote
xxbassplayerxx Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I was not able to get EasyTune to install in XP. GB is working on a GTL (Gigabyte Tweak Launcher) that should work with XP. Unknown if it will support BCLK overclocking or not. I've never looked in Device Manager because I never install USB3.0, audio, or Lan drivers for XP. Quote
Threedhero Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 No prob. Also had issue with easytune undervolting in win7 user be aware... Quote
