Im about to start benching Ln2 soon for the very first time.

 

I want a dewar for a reasonable price or one to rent. Also looking for an LN2 supplier, based in the south of UK

Mansfield Cryogenics cover most of the country, may have to wait til they pass your way but they are cheap and know what we do (they may have some 2nd dewars for sale) Pete and Steve are sound fellas

Otherwise you'll have to use Cryoservice and they will rent you some dewars after a rep has been round to check things out.

What's the deal with dewars in the UK? Is it like welding bottles, i.e, rent the bottle and pay for refill's or can you buy a bottle/dewar and have them come round for a re-fill?

You have to rent or buy a dewar and also pay for the LN2. Costs £1.20 inc tax per litre for LN2 for me and I can't remember the dewar costs but i think it was around £60 to hire a 50L dewar for a month. That's with Mansfield Cryogenics.

next week ill be buying a cpu pot, probably buy some more bench toys this week and after that get the LN2 which im thinking will be around £150 inc. dewar rent.

 

crazy amount of money it takes to basically try destroy hardware lol
