AgreSor Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Since noone posted here! A really simple question: Which proccesors do u prefer and why(Amd or Intel)? Quote
Zaltan Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I go with whatever offers the best Bang for my Bucks. Recently its been Intels though, the last 5 CPU's I've owned have been Intel's (Core Duo T2600, Core 2 Duo T7200, E6400, E6600, E6700). Currently using an E6400 because I sold my E6600 and E6700. Before Core Duo's I had been with AMD's for years. Quote
netgamer416 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 i've owned 1AMD and 5 Intels. i like intel no FanBoy but i find they are just better AMD xp 2900+ Intel Celeron D 2.4Ghz Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz Intel Pentium D 920 Intel Celeron D 365 (OC to 4.7GHz) Intel E6550 (get this tomorrow, cant wait) Quote
MaSell Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Intel for now. No stupid cold bugs with -100'c, no problems with htt, better performance, can take more volts, no problems with high mem overclocking etc. Now amd are for ladies and "aircooled" ocers . In my daily rigs I have P4 631 with HT (4-4.2ghz 1.15v passive, great performance/heat/price) and undervoltaged PM 1.4GHz in laptop. I'm not playing games, so I don't need better ones . My current cpus: Celly 352 (@7.9GHz LN2 ), P4 631 (@~7GHz with cascade), P4 631 ES, A64 2800+ (propably broken), Celly 420, E4400, P3 1GHz.... duron 750MHz , and few <500mhz . Quote
cdawall Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 i like both currently i have used more AMD chips than intels PD 930 (no oc cause the mobo=gay but its a HTPC so i dont care) celeron D 351 @ ~3.8ghz 24/7, 4.2ghz max on a ECS P4M800-pro i would go higher but i'm capped at a +.03v to the cpu and its for my sister so it really doesn't matter AXP 2000+ tbred on a MSI K7N2-delta (went boom some time ago) 3000+ newcastle CG max oc 2.59ghz @1.81v (tried up to 2v with no increase in oc) on a Machspeed K8M8MS r2 3400+ clawhammer C0 @2.35ghz 1.56v 24/7 on a machspeed K8M8MS r2 (replaced my 3000+ and outperforms it @ 2.35ghz vs 2.59ghz) 3000+ venice still sitting in a box waiting for the pci-e vid card i ordered to show up on a DFI infinity ultra this should do 3ghz+ on air not much money as you can see so there all low end chips but i do my best getting them to run todays apps/games my 3400+ ran crysis when i mated it with a BFG 7800GS OC @ all med/high 1027x768 No stupid cold bugs with -100'c, no problems with htt, better performance, can take more volts, no problems with high mem overclocking etc. Now amd are for ladies and "aircooled" ocers . no cold bugs on my chips...and i doubt any intel chip can run @ 2v vcore and survive Quote

Catalyst Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Athlon X2 6000+ here, no problems so far, but I do feel like upgrading the whole rig Quote
K404 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Hey bro Welcome to the forum! I have a 5600+ here. For a 24/7 system, I love it. Id be willing to give up a chunk of performance for AMD purely because of AMDs mounting mechanism!! Quote
flanker Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 AMD k6 350 intel celeron tualatin 1.1GHz@1.33GHz AMD X2 4600+ EE@2640MHz (first Windsors F2 ) AMD X3 8650@2740MHz (bad motherboards-nVidia chipset, not possible higher than 240 busspeed ) now: AMD X4 955@3895MHz (stable of course with aircooling) Quote
