Nice score man! Will be tough to compete with all these monster am2 32m scores in the competition

I tried 4 dimms, but unfortunately The board either doesn’t like mixed PCB types, or I have a bad slot which is most likely the issue. I never had had much success with 4Dimms on this board, and the 1st and 3rd are difficult to get to boot even with 2 dimms. I don’t have any 16gb dimms so cannot test it.
I hear ryzen has a much easier time with 4 sticks of micron rev e than 4 stick of bdie, so if you ran 4 sticks of bdie you may have a bad time.

That's okay, you can probably beat it on ambient if you have a board, we may've been a bit conservative on mem ?
-
I hear the fx62 has unlocked multi, so perhaps I can run lower mem and higher core ?

Amazing score man, I think this is the target for future 6400+ bench sessions to come

Very nice! DFI is not the most efficient board out there. For example, 790X-UD3P is faster. Interested to know how much have you gained with manual registers tweak (if you have used any).
I assume that ud4p should have similar mem effi? hopefully, lol

I have VSTA as well.
I've been told that the vsta can take the sata2 bios, so at least if it's a difference of bioses between the board that is easily resolved
-
Hoping that the fact that I'm using the VSTA instead of the SATA2 isn't what's holding me back. I noticed that most people use the SATA 2 but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Also gonna open up the bios probably tonight or tomorrow and see if I get lucky and thermal throttling is a hidden setting, AMI bios so ez to mod.
-
I'm running my 4coredual and I'm finding that at -1c the temp sensor rolls over to 256c, this causes the cpu to thermal throttle and lock to the lowest multiplier. I've not been able to find a way to disable thermal throttling or the sensor in bios. How do I get around this? I've seen people running these boards on ln2 so I know that it's not impossible, I just have yet to figure it out.

If we want to do it for Country Cup then I think the only time that's viable for most people is first two weeks of November, after that you get into Thanksgiving and December is basically a no go for most people.

Core is fine, need to work on mem
-
Can clock higher but OS died, also effi just isn't there for me
-
Benching at PA bench meet, chip has a little more in it but needs more tweaking
-
Top 5 score! That's pretty hard to beat

Yes cpuz somewhat makes up a name when you unlock cores, for example 650t unlocked becomes 1500t

It does not say they aren't in the competition limitations and rules? It says 1 processor ie single socket and that server cpus are allowed ie Xeons and opterons. I don't see a reason they would limit Xeons to 6 cores only when the amd fx is allowed which is 8 cores. I think the highest core xeon is 12 or 14 cores for this platform and it wouldn't be faster than a 4770k anyway due to the very low clock speeds.
Comp thread says 6 cores, but rules page does not so was confused. Anyways, if anyone can get a Ddr3 lga 2011-1 board to run some e7 v3/v4 xeons for sweet 24 core Haswell action. Should get 60-80 fps, and only for about $5k on ebay

Cool to see VIA cpu in this comp
-
I thought only up to 6 core xeons were allowed? @Leeghoofd

In stage 1, i understand that 2 thread cpu is accepted ?
Yes, ht is allowed. Just must be single physical core.

I'm sure.. i think we will se ~2.2k Scores.
I notice you switched board and saw better performance at same cpu and lower mem clock, perhaps better "hidden" submitting baked into bios?
-
Very nice! I wonder if we'll see 2k broken on ddr1 before end of comp

Would love to see igp score on this chip for team cup, you shouldn't lose any cpu mhz if your board can deliver and I believe that having igp enabled lowers the cold bug on these chips.

Cold bug is tied to bclk so perhaps the colder cb will help get around some of the weakness of core?
