Overall I'm extremely happy with what you created and looking forward that this will be our one and only tool for submitting subs to the bot. I probably need to test this with old systems, btw. does this tool work with Win2000 or 98 ? If so, could you integrate that new oldschool CPU-Z?

    I believe it's only 7 onwards.

I feel for where you are coming from ?

I  Would love a total break down of the Cooling Categories. I know it would be impractical but ? the best score for the fastest SuperPi using a - i7-8700k on AIR, AIO, Custom Water, Chilled Water,  Ect, Ect. You will always have the .01% that has to WIN no matter what.

I got bumped to the Extreme League because I got a chance to Bench with LN2 AND submitted the scores. I bench 99.5% with Custom Water and may pull out the the Dice for that .5%. I know I will NEVER get those scores again with this setup - OH WELL. I do this to have fun and chat with some great guys.

My Wife's family has a nice saying : If you LOVE your JOB - You will never WORK a Day ?

P.S. The above statements are my own and do not reflect the views of my Team or Their Web Site.

    Thank You For Your Time.

Just as a side note you can view those quite easily :)

  3. 1 and 2 are equal to me. Both sandbagging.

Having to verify all new subs is just not feasible, sure front page stuff can be quickly checked but checking all new subs made each day just isn't going to happen. Also adding more rules will probably cause people issues, people want simplicity remember? (One of the attractions of BM I believe?)

  4. Being sponsored doesn't matter if others are willing to spend a lot of time.and money.

What a out those who can't afford to buy the latest CPUs, maybe there should be another league just for older/cheaper hw?

This is a discussion which has been had before, when I joined there were 3 leagues, elite, extreme and enthusiast. As soon as you tried subzero you were up against LN2, didn't stop me because I found it fun. I'd you're not finding it fun, take a step back and see how you could change things to enjoy it more.

If points are all you care about, then it's time to go cold :)

  5. Prizes tended to cause more trouble than they were worth I think.

Getting new users just due to prizes isn't great, as xtu has shown more users aren't always better, far better to have 1 active new her than 10 users taking part in a comp just for a prize than nothing in my opinion.

There were no comps/prizes when I got involved, not sure why suddenly they're needed now. Damn kids.

    I'll tell you why I don't.

1 hwbot should be for end users not manufacturers playground.

2 I want to bench the hardware and benchmarks I want to bench not what POINTS dictate I have to bench to be "good" or "top 100"

    3 I want a challenge....how long since I submitted a score? still rank 217? that's sad....

4 they flat out just burned me out. 1 can only do so much

5 I had to start benching intel even though my specialty and expertise was/is AMD.

Nothing is forcing you to bench certain things etc, if you don't care about points then bench whatever, if you do then you play the game, doesn't seem outrageous to me?

Also career ranking doesn't really stagnate that much if you have a decent base of submissions, so not that surprising you haven't dropped a huge amount, if you don't think it a challenge feel free to come back to grab #1 to prove your point :)

If you were having to bench intel for sponsorship stuff, then that's even less of a valid point :)

  7. Yeah you'll struggle to get much from them near Christmas/new year, unless you want to pay more and go on as a proper customer with them. If you're getting enough it can work out, and should be able to choose delivery dates I think.

  8. Starting over locking to get better performance in Crysis, found myself enjoying the tweaking more than playing the game.

Then found out about hwbot and benchtec, where it became a slippery slope as I enjoyed the competition of the rankings and climbing the leaderboards. Got a SS from a benchtec member and then eventually tried LN2.

Had a big break and am currently on another, but no doubt will become active again, mostly for the rankings/leaderboards :)

Prefer the career stuff as I tend to come and go and don't like the time limited nature of seasonal/competitions.
