Even older mobile 4 cores get a boost with heat... It is totally uncontrolable... There's no code change in the save file since a long time.. So we can't differentiate the versions anymore like we can with gpupi...

    okidokie.

screenshot got mandatory at some point, oh yeah 1st of June.

a teammate told me about a sub with missing screenshot that got removed. and that 64bit is not allowed (personally, always used the 32bit v6.4.1.12 since this version corrected a bug such that people could modify their score).

June 01, 2019: limitation to 32 bit XTU version only, due to enhanced 64bit version being out. A verification screenshot is required for top 20 scores.

older submissions with or without screenshots are still valid, right ?

  4. guys, you never know on which leg to dance...

"As newer versions of XTU do not produce a score which is on par with older versions, we are forced to take the hard decision to disable points for all XTU submissions. "

for gpupi, i didn't see the results being removed, but 2 categories were made.

i guess on big cpus (>6 c/12t), reruns can mean nothing and yield more inconsistencies, especially with high ram frequencies, but on 4c/8t or lower, as long as i can tell, results seemed very consistent on all ddr3 platforms from sandy to haswell.

    on ddr4, I don't know.

imo, kill it for ddr4 but not for ddr3 :o or kill the new version or benching on new cpus :D

    To the OP.

@Noxinite , what Alex says so straight forward is the absolute truth. Either we all like it or not.

Dimastech scam was one of the most severe cases, that affected quite a few members here and people lost thousands and thousands of Euros from a supposed " reputable company "

Mate, you have to move on. This is not eBay and definitely, since the last resort of protection ( PayPal ) was mistakenly not used from your side, you have two options -

    1) Give it a shot with Intel and see if you can pass an RMA request.

    2) If it fails, consider the whole case a lesson that cost you 500 Euros. And take appropriate precaution if and when you buy something else here.

The HWBOT market place has some basic rules, but no power to intervene when a transaction goes south.

Basically, till a few years back, members ethics were at a lot higher level.

Good luck to whatever you decide to do. I am sorry for your mishap mate :(

on some forums they'd get banned for this

On the topic of shipping any payment insurances:

As someone whose packing methods are somewhat praised in this thread, yet who had to multiple refunds this year alone, I can say that unless you record (with a video, or via an independent witness) the whole process of packing and handing the item over to the shipping company and the recipient does the same in the opposite direction - any successful shipping damage claim that you file against a courier is a result of their incompetence. The current practice, also actively advised by the big consulting firms I happen to work for, is to direct handling of all customer claims to a court (or some third party), where the customer will be very likely to dismiss their claim as (a) they have to provide proof that would exclude any other source of damage, (b) they would have to handle the legal fees unless themselves are a (wannabe) law practitioner (c) case handlers tend to be overloaded so hearings are scheduled many years after the precedent, when no one really cares anymore.

what you are saying is that chances are close to 0 ; the insurance would actually only hold if they'd  loose the package?

I will second that, unfortunately :(

well that should not burn the cpu, or break its die...? mistake yes, but not the reason for the cleaved, dead die.

so either you mounted it badly and broke it, or it arrived this way. is the above picture of the as-received item ?
