  1. Updated C6H BIOS 0902, prevents the random BIOS updating bricking. Keep CPU SOC Voltage at max 1.20V for prolonged use.
  2. Manual or offset mode? Can you confirm with DMM? I believe we have a readout problem. Don't know, I guess BIOS corruption somehow?
  3. Not unless you have an SPI EEPROM writer available.
  4. We used to be able to modify subtimings after initial POST and in the OS but it got locked by AMD in the release firmware. The options are just leftovers in case we get control again. Subtiming autorules are decided by AMD and not us, it doesn't seem to care about SPD values either. Pretty sure they are fixed depending on DRAM configuration (DRAM Ratio, 1/2DPC, SR/DR).
  5. That's not what I told you, the current rule does not consider LN2 Mode (not a bug). 1.6V standby is not dangerous for benching, the only reason to change the rule would be to prevent people from freaking out.
  6. Yeah you're not getting your C-states. Try CMOS defaults and make sure your OS power profile is set to Balanced.
  7. No I think your cooling is fine. Does the voltage drop in idle as well? (0.x range)
  8. Can you try only adjusting refclk and nothing else? Auto rules should take care of the rest, ideally on 5803 BIOS. Which sensor are you relying on? Idle temps read relatively high on this platform. Being in OC mode means your power saving functions are mostly disabled.
  9. Screenshots attached for reference.
  10. Snoozed for a bit there, updated now.
  11. Best 1700 chip so far did 5.2G @ 1.72V but no scaling beyond that. Updated guide to v04.
  12. No strong correlation so far, all depends on scaling with temp/voltage as usual. Good air chip with good scaling is what's needed for a good LN2 chip. Fabric, IMC and DRAM all run at the same frequency and is not adjustable.
  13. Cheers guys, small update to the OC guide. Mostly a few error corrections but also added info on timer skewing and HPET.
  14. ROG Crosshair VI series Disclamer: This is not an official support thread and tools/software is provided as is. Use at your own risk. BIOS 0083 0081 + "2T" DRAM mode 0082 0081 + specific DRAM patches 0081 0081 + ProcODT = 53.3 ohm 0079 New AGESA 1004a 1001 (DRAM 1T mode) Restore defaults before flashing, or use USB BIOS Flashback. 0038 (DRAM 2T mode) Same as 1001 but DRAM set to 2T mode, better on some systems. BIOS 0902 First BIOS with fixed "BIOS updating" problems. 1001 newer and recommended over this. 0090 Has some performance tweaks for Geekbench3, has BIOS updating bug on some boards. 15. There's a screenshot leaked showing 2363 @ 5.2G, how can everyone think 2449 is done at 5.14-5.2?
  16. Latest beta bioses updated. No significant change for you guys AFAIK. Maximus IX Apex 0801 Maximus IX Formula 0801 Maximus IX Code 0801 Maximus IX Hero 0801
  17. It's not a TurboV Core issue, but a BIOS issue. Hopefully fixed in next release.
  18. Kaby Lake cannot be unlocked on any platform. Theoretically Skylake can be unlocked on Z270.
  19. No need to waste your money on it, it's not possible to unlock Kaby Lake non-K at this time.
  20. On Maximus VIII just use USB BIOS Flashback feature.

  22. If uP6218, check the following: Pin 26+48 = +5V supply Pin 50 = PWRGD (goes high if the controller is working as it should) Pin 51 = ENPWR (above 0.825V to enable controller) Pin 52 = ENVTT (above 0.825V to enable controller)
  23. You can convert a Z170 XP install by first booting it on Z170 and updating the SATA controller driver to the Z270 version (manually pick the Z270 driver). After this you can shut down and boot it up on Z270.
  24. Your stream quality is not bad, but if you want more money you have to have an audience to back it up. How long have you guys been doing streaming now? And the viewership is still not picking up? Maybe time to go back to the drawing board?
