  1. Because we use these amount of submissions thresholds Alex. Currently it was set to 100 or more check out the new excel I made, we will raise the threshold to 125 or more for the 70 pointers. UPDATEDHWBOT.xlsx
  2. You still fail to see how and why this is implemented, read up first... or bench stock...
  3. It's not about easy, this ranking is all about popularity of the hardware... You still need to be nr1 in these semi obscure categories to get the 70 pointer and it needs to pass the sub threshold, otherwise you end up with 50, 35 or 15 points. Last but not least, this system is giving something back to the biggest crowd at HWBOT. These ambient guys can be more competitive as the gap closes with the extreme guys. I always wonder what makes one merit more points in benchmark A than another OCer in benchmark B ? Is it the binning of 100 cpus? Does that make you a better overclocker, meaning you must get more points. One might find pi32m challenging, another person thinks 01 is way more fun... What is entertaining is that this has been on the drawing board for months, no inputs whatsoever. Now that you see it in action nothing is good... Flashbacks... Negativity... I'll check the 2 examples of Alex as this is not right, seems the threshold has not been reached, yet it gives the points. Raufs idea is also good, will experiment with that one and stop recalcs. This is just a global/HW point refresh, career / SEASONAL nor team points have been touched. Not even sure if they will be touched on the current code. This ranking is pretty self explanatory, rank x out of a certain amount of subs get rewarded by x points... There's no complexity behind it. No need if it's harder to run 3 VGAs on Ln2 or other stuff that was tried in the past. Algorithms that made the BOT crawl and spew out incorrect rankings... Provide me a fix by taking the excels as example, instead of just saying I hate this point system.
  4. you can upload, Bot will stay up unless we experience some issues
  5. yes people hammering the recalc button to ge tit updated, that will delay our point calculation process... We can tell people 1000 times press recalc button ONCE, than refresh the page a few seconds later... what will they do: press recalculate button 10 times till it updates, meaning the Bot will do a recalc 9 times for the same score....
  6. It's removed till the entire recalcs are done
  7. Bot is back up for testing, however only 5% of all the hardware subs have been recalculated at the moment, so you profile will be way off versus the old one! Check this post which recacls have already been processed
  8. Progress: Globals done AM4 done TR4 done SWRX8 done STRX4 done SP4R2 done SP4 done SP3 done LGA4189 done LGA3647 done LGA2066 done LGA2011v3 done LGA2011v1 done LGA2011 almost completed LGA1700 done LGA1200 done LGA1151v2 done LGA1151 up next Geforce 3000 series done Geforce 2000 series done AMD RDNA2 done
  9. Due to new competitions starting mid February we took the decision to implement the new Boint system already this weekend. Pretty short notice but at least this give us time to get everything sorted before we host any official competition. First step is to move the current scores/records to the UAT server ( a less powerfull Test server with limited graphicals ) So you can still bench and verify scores (take note that there are no screenshots! on UAT) Do not submit any scores to UAT, these will be lost !! 2nd step will be that HWBOT site will go offline for this weekend, to test if we don't get any unexpected hickups. Besides the new point setup, other bugs will be adressed too. The Forum/Discord will remain accessible. However to keep HWBOT up and running we decided to do the point recalculation in small steps, this to avoid the site being offline too long. Starting off with the latest hardware gens first. This implies that user profiles/team rankings could be sort all over the place till the full recalc is done. Some usefull links: HWBOT UAT: https://uat.hwbot.org/ Forum: https://community.hwbot.org/
  10. Any concensus ? So I can get the artwork ordered
  11. To configure benchmarks to be multithreaded or not is easy, but limited in options as you can see in the below image
  12. Interesting points, however we don't remove any globals for multi card setups, till we can assess the impact of the new points correctly. Also think that you will require a certain amount of subs to get good globals, so take eg Port Royal/Timespy/Vantage Extreme with 3 and 4 cards on UAT , it's only 25 global points. Principle remains the same, the more people bench and submit, the higher the points will get...
  13. Programmer called me today and wants to push the new point system to the HWBOT page as soon as possible. He will first add a lower threshold for hardware points, so hardware with less than 7 subs gets a max of 6 points iso the 15 now on UAT. I guess we can only analyse everything once all recalculations are done and users can properly compare profiles, rankings,... Note: Issue is that some current user profiles on HWBOT are not correct, credits to the current bugged point algorithm... Plan is to push all the lastest scores to the UAT server so you can still compare scores if you are benching Hoping that all will be up and running within the time margin of just a few days. Keep you posted when it will happen!
  14. Let me know guys when you close the poll and on which date you want to start this Cheapaz competition. update: Programmer called me and he wants to put the new point system onto the production page, so we need to have at least a few days to get it all done and tested.

  16. Gigabyte needs to release their specific non K biosses... if you have issues with password plz pm me
  17. deleted, don't forget to add CPUZ tabs for CPU and memory to each screenshot!
  18. 2 things: The 70 points is the only way to assure lower end subs also get at least some significant points iso 0.1 or 0.2. This value comes from taking the current points like Superpi 32M for a lot of CPUs where you got already 67 HW points. We can introduce more threshholds or shift them as stated before... A lower threshold has been asked for less than 5-8 subs As you can see on the below image the point increase is not as dramatic as some think it is...
  19. Euh SuperPi hardware points for the top spots are even way less than 35 hardware points for nr1. Principle here is the more subs, the higher the HW points will be, with a max cap at 70 Points. There still is the option to move or add thresholds. But remember there is no algorithm behind this and it will not come back either on the current code of Frederik. The new points fix tons of issues of the present, makes the rankings tighter and gives more points to non extreme clockers. 3 or 4 way gpu setups are a thing of the past, hence why we needed to take action for the 3D crowd. The difference in globals will ease their pain a little bit... There will never be a perfect configuration that pleases everybody.
