1. Gappo: Since I've been submitting top scores in PCMark the past month or so, those who have been running it longer always requested Futuremark URLs. Never seemed like much hassle to post it, and it seemed like a polite gesture. Not to mention, when we post top scores we should set an example for others... Many newer PCMark05 competitors submit screenshots where not all subtests are visible and there is no futuremark URL. It is simply good form to include it.
2. Gotta be a flavor of the revo3, best gen use I've ever seen. Can anyone read the virus scan score?
3. Overclockers run computer parts on custom frequencies at custom temperatures. All components are rated for stable operation at specified frequency and voltage settings under standardized cooling solutions. After improving the cooling or power delivery, we overclockers then test the limits of how components operate. With custom air, water, or subzero cooling there are no ratings or settings a component is approved for - through testing, overclockers find those frequency and voltage limits. Stability is the ultimate test - what frequencies and voltages can we use in order to run a specific set of tasks successfully.
4. Nice run! Can you add the futuremark URL? That way we can see all subtest scores, I'm anxious to see your virus scan. For the bob tweak, I got it working off of stelaras' post - the descriptions of the tweaks just aren't perfect and my teammates (sebas) helped me get it working. By the way, your general usage looks pretty good for 2x acards. Nice job.
5. Web page rendering is next. That is the second biggest tweak, aside from transparent. The common tweaks are only 70% of the top scores (40-50 versus 60+)
6. Nice score. Looks like 4x iRam's using onboard Raid0. As he mentioned, he's using write back cache - which is the reason for the super virus scan and moderate general usage. Two boards were used to power the disks, but the 2nd board is just a donor for power.
7. It took some work on my end, not sure if any of these posts describe it exactly (I haven't read all the updates, been working through the night at getting scores to put up). Sebas figured it out after stelaras posted though and I'm following his tips.
8. Sorry Mr SteveRo, your turn again. http://hwbot.org/submission/2256640_ Only 3x for now, though I'm sure we'll all be scrambling around to rerun scores.
9. I'm going to be trying this tweak tonight, got 50L to burn and gold cups to reclaim.
10. I drove with the one in the back (50L) from Cleveland to St Louis (500+ miles, 9 hours) for a Lan party event. I think my body has adjusted to high BNC (Blood Nitrogen Content). Sometimes I crack a window a little bit, if not I turn on the vent fan.
11. Interesting chip, hadn't really looked at them yet but thats a pretty solid AMD wprime score. Nice!
12. This is how I pickup my LN2. It's an hour drive, and typically about 3 hours including fill/payment/BS time. Just got home with 80L, $.50/L... Bubba is in the background, he rides along and sleeps next to the dewar in the back.
13. Ya, vaseline and eraser don't mix well. An eraser retaining wall works better than a tape retaining wall though - learned that the hard way, and the bathroom really paid the price on that one (where I was using the hairdryer to spread it). The card is an Areca 1882IX. I'm not getting the performance out of it I think I should yet, nzaneb has one as well (though its out for RMA currently) and if you look at his hex score, his storage numbers were far better than mine - also far better than the storage scores I've been testing on 2600k. More work to do here as well.
14. I actually didn't break it down last night, was too late and just wanted to go to bed... I poured the pool of water onto the garage floor this morning. Nothing a strong fan and dry time can't fix! This is how I insulated the board. I could probably go fire it back up now, but I like to point the blower at it for a day just to be safe:
15. Thanks guys. More work to do yet, a few problems I can fix to get it up yet. Need to do more core testing as well, I got the chip yesterday and these are pretty quick and dirty settings. No breakage is thanks to the vaseline tweak.
16. So as I was scrambling frantically to figure this out today... I failed. However I did find vento1's score from like 2 years ago, where he did like 34K transparent windows... Seems he stumbled on this, and its laid dormant since! He mentioned it on benchtek, but didn't give anything away.
17. Congrats on the tweak guys! Thats going to really rock the rankings.
18. For those with high prices, have you tried to negotiate better prices? Depending on where I buy, and how I negotiate... a person can pay anywhere from 50 cents to several dollars a liter. There isn't a set price in their system for the LN2, so different people pay different amounts. I worked my way down to 50 cents a liter, and it helped getting to know the guys and explaining what I was doing - they know I don't make any money and I do it as a hobby. I expect the doctor's offices and mechanics buying it for their business pay 2 to 3 times as much as I do. Just a thought, in case negotiating/begging/pleading may help others.
