  1. Thanks for the input, noted for future reference.
  2. Honda, I have only benched full pot AMD and sb. Can you explain glazing or link me? I haven't done any cold on the Intel stuff that likes mid-range temps.
  3. In your example, readyboost is not helping XP startup. If anything, its within the margin of error - XP startup fluctuates a MB or two in my experience using regular HDDs. I don't mean to criticize you, but only help understand what your test shows. The general usage and virus scan scores do have nice improvements however! Nice testing.
  4. Should turn the corner in a couple days. Keeping airgas and Kleenex in business currently.
  5. Smashed my last score, and we are back to 3 core spanking the 8 core. You can sleep easy on this one for a bit, my last chip was topped out on my previous submission and I haven't looked for a new chip yet.
  6. I could do 40k with these settings, if I had done a few more runs. Need my transparent score to be 1k higher, which I have done, however just didn't get it all together tonight as you saw on the livestream - such is life with pcmark05. There is more CPU left as well, though not much.
  7. Is this homerun derby? My turn at the plate I see. Nice job. :-) If you used these same clocks through the multi-threaded test, you'll want to give the chip a go in wprime and ucbench as well. It could be a pretty good chip. I am suspicious looking at this submission however. If these are your best storage scores on this chip (if you don't have a backup), I wonder if the CVF is holding you back. Have you tried another board with Bulldozer? Your Gen Usage and Virus scan are good, but I would think you could do higher with that storage config - they are in line with my 37253 PCM05 score.
  8. Cool, thanks. If you update this thread once you are done, I'll take another sweep through and report any that might have slipped through the cracks. Its a lot to go through - I never looked at the high core count rankings until researching some stuff tonight.
  9. Just a heads up for hwbot staff... wprime 32/1024 have a ton of incorrect submissions, and I went through to report a bunch of them to help clean them up. Not trying to be a dick, just appeared no one is policing those rankings, and no one else probably ever looks at them. There are a ton more, I just didn't want to report them all.
  10. Did some more digging, on my personal page the numbers are different because of UCBench. I have a UCBench bronze and a medal that doesn't get any global points - that is why I don't see all the medals on my global points page. I'm guessing its a similar reason why the sidebar is different from the awards I can find on the team page as well.
  11. Team Pages: We have the following globals listed in the top right sidebar: 4 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze, 8 medals On our members list, our members have: 3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze, and 6 medals Why do our team globals not match the member globals? User Pages: On my personal page globals listed in the top right sidebar: 2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze, 3 medals On my points tab under global points, I have: 2 gold, 1 silver, 2 medals Why do my personal globals in the right sidebar look different than what I can find in actual globals?
  12. From what I've seen on OCF, no actual review before/after performance on the cards - just final results after the mod. Kinda OK, but everyone wants to know the before and after. The after doesn't mean shit if you don't know how good/bad the card was to start out with. If you don't do before and after, its more marketing/PR than it is actual review/testing.
  13. Power state bug. Had everything disabled for CPU power management in bios, but it still was throttling and screwing around with multipliers any way it wants. The score came out about what I thought it should be though, maybe 1K low.
  14. Prefer to configure contact preferences in my account settings - some will prefer PM, some will prefer email. Prefer that team captains are included - often times I may not be available when they can address the issue. The communication tab sounds useful.

  16. I think Frederik and Pieter understand I sometimes offer my input. I'm not complaining really, just offering something to consider with respect to those who make the decisions. I'm just a participant here, because I enjoy it either way. I pretty much fully agree with the post just above yours. You on the other hand, with all due respect, *nevermind*. I appreciate your interjection, and live forever in your debt.
  17. I don't mean to complicate things, but this seems pretty similar to how Rev4 handles TPP. As individuals can dominate the enthusiast league with obscure hardware, so can teams dominate the teams league on obscure hardware. The easiest way to get 50 TPP? Request a new CPU be added, run the 10 2D benches which award HTPP at stock. Or you could take 3x pcmark05 global 1st and get 80 TPP. One way is very expensive and challenging enough that few people could do it - the other way... I chose the pcmark05 route because it was the cooler way. However, any smart team would recognize there are a lot of quick, easy, and valuable points to be had by benching rare stuff or low competition stuff. In spirit, the way HTPP are awarded should encourage more competition in those categories since they are valuable (as I understood it, that was part of the idea behind the Rev4 TPP scheme) - I get the intention, however in 95% of oddball categories it is not creating competition, its just giving easy points. If I had DB access to hwbot, I'd be curious to run a query looking at the top 20 teams, to see how many 1st place HTPP each team has in categories where there is no competition. By the way, just a minor gripe - I think overall the scoring system is working pretty good.
  18. I bought my 50L dewar for something like $150 - then found out shipping was $150 as well. I worked my price down to $.50/Liter, so a fill usually comes to just over $25 including taxes. I drive an hour and a half round trip to get it.
  19. 3rd core was at 5.37GHz, it was weak. Core 1 and 2 can go half a multi faster and finish, just didn't get the run lined up for it. Any way you cut it though, this isn't the best CPU for this job - just enough to be competitive though.
  20. Nice run S_A_V. Was just looking at your subtests at 6.2GHz on 3 cores, they are all pretty much stronger than my Bulldozer run at 7GHz.
  21. Thanks for the assist on the clarification there, thats what I intended.
  22. Been through about 400L of LN2 starting from December... I got a christmas card from Airgas, and one of the guys is having his daughter baptized next month - I'm invited! Neither of those is a good sign for me I'm afraid. On my way back to the shop today as well. Thank goodness for $.50/L, even at that price I probably should slow down a bit for sake of my budget, or hurry up and sell more spare stuff.
