  1. All attempts of running NT4.0 on 386 that I've heard of were unsuccessful. Turrincan, are you planning to bench faster 486 CPUs? Like DX4-100, DX4-120 and X5-133? your board can do at least 40MHz FSB.

I was supposing something like that. Anyway, it can help in some cases. Thanks for the explanation.

Nice one, Mutant Tractor! So that's why you were asking about CDT on OCX. So the "start wPrime tweak" sets only realtime and Pifast tweak - sets affinity and realtime only? Or there are additional features? Anyway it's a very handful tool! Especially closing explorer and this app on tweak apply.
  4. A 24 pin PSU will be fine if you can fit it. I've got a separatable 24 pin connector. But even if yours is solid it sometimes can still fit the board. If it fits, it'll work. Yep, there's additional +3.3V, 5V, 12V and ground - one of each.
  5. You are a mad man! I wanted to run this stuff first, you've overtaken me. Congratulations. I've got some socket 3 stuff, one of them was still used at work till yesterday. But they got a new PC and I got a new toy to play with
  6. Why didn't you overclock it? :-D it would save you 15-25 days LOL

  8. It's a more general bug - even if the submission for which you got the achievement was deleted or edited, the achievement doesn't update. So it's not only about LHe.
  9. overclocker's gold bullion
  10. Make a txt report using CPU-Z on FSB100 when memory is at 100MHz and 66MHz - you know, the Mem=AGP mode. If possible, change only this setting, so it doesn't harden the decryption. And attach here for example.
  11. And you don't have a soldering iron neither? read my sig
  12. I've sent an e-mail to Franck Delattre to fix VIA's dividers bugs and i815 as well. Turrican do you have a VIA MVP3 board in your hands? I would like you to get some info from it to send a bug report to CPU-Z.
  13. And I meant the socket 7
  14. I suggest we use 1.5XS for 486 as there is a way to run it. I don't know whether CPU-Z runs on NT4.0 but anyway it doesn't show almost any info. So use chkcpu and make a photo of the CPU (to clear things out). This is what I think of this. As for 386 - as somebody will be able to run such a system - we'll see.
  15. I don't know anyone who else can I just said that I don't know how fast will he make the fixes after they are reported on. I've seen the asynch. memory issues on VIA and Intel chipsets. I know how to identify the memory divider on these. I'll share with him with this info today.
  16. Ah, don't feed it with crappy memory, it's 440BX. I've got a MSI 6163 at work that won't boot with new Samsung memory that is PC133 3-3-3 - the board knows it's a crap. I think my P3B-F won't boot either.
  17. They are easier to get than the DFI one
  18. Thank you, Mr. Scott Turrican nope, until the 810/815 series any older chipset than these can't change the divider.
  19. Why not Asus P3B-F or Abit BE6-II?
  20. Even if it doesn't, it's easy to figure out. The only chipsets that can change the divider are VIA and ALI. I have contacted with Franck Delattre (Massman, you know this) but I can't say how fast will he implement required fixes.

It always was a marketing issue, not a hardware NV SLI was demonstrated on Intel chipsets and then they became "incompatible"
