Bone dry should be fine for refill and only safety thing I can think of is if you leave it in a confined space for a long it can case suffocation due too high nitrogen content in the air
I just tried this and decreasing the resistance lowered the voltage
Edit: just to make sure I did right I had a trimpot connected from point marked in red to ground
I swear when I tested this back in 2011 it was faster with higher memory speed but it was that long ago I can't remember and it was am3+ which we all know has a memory bandwidth problem
I picked up a veroboard today to give this one a try myself but I don't have lcd volt meters because my local electronics store has self powered ones for $25 so I'll get them from ebay
To make life easier with trimpots I hot glue some like dvi/vga screws or mb stand-offs to them and you can turn them by hand and I'll post up a picture of what I mean later
I just found out no need to do the gpu after soldering a V read point I found out changes past 1.275v done by bios take effect it's just Gpu-z stopping at 1.25v
Oh and max I can set by bios is around 1.6v
I was unaware joking wasn't allowed on hwbot
I liked how hwbot was with rev 4 when i first started benching, now it just seems to be getting overly complicated trying to do the impossible and keep everyone happy
So it would be forbidden for an Australian to use water 6 months of the year? And that's without going into much colder counties
I love how you use the word cheater when nobody has in fact cheated just because they think outside the box and push as close to limit of the rules as they can like everyone does in real sports especially F1's
Personally I'm not against Indonesia but I'd prefer Singapore because they speak English and i won't need a visa plus living costs and Australian dollar to Singapore is almost one to one which makes it more like a holiday in Australia which for someone like me who has never been overseas makes things a lot easier
Either way i plan on coming if it happens
People just need to stop complaining about ice water and do it themselves because in most cases I'm aware of are just that
oh if someone is smart enough to add antifreeze such as alcohol to ice they shouldn't be punished
One problem I just thought of is that some GPU's have a low power state that will drop the volts to something like 0.9v which with this method would see the volts being set much higher as soon as load is applied
But to give an example. If you tell it set 1.4v and the card has stock 1.2v and low power of 0.9v you would likely run 1.7v when first under load because it will start off at +500mv
