  1. ...dhenzjhen should get extra points for benching $27,000 worth of CPUs w / o paying $27,000 !
  2. @ DHENZJHEN > ...from the 'dreaming in technicolor' department > ...would there actually be unlocked ES / Engineering Samples of the Xeon E7 8890 V2...I'm not greedy, I just like one...
  3. Tx :-) , ...a little bit left in the tank, but Catzilla 1440 x 4 GPUs is a fusebox killer when it gets to Raymarch...when the ladies of the house are not looking, I shall appropriate that 240v washer / dryer plug !
  4. ...tx; city lights in my block dimmed and flickered when that ran ;-)
  5. ....old GTX 8800s never seem to die, they just go on to bench-land ;-) ...nice clocks for the CPU + GPU /congrats on the score
  6. Tx guys - ...wanted to get these runs before I left for my 1st LN2 session, just in case stuff would blow up then (it didn't)- for Catzilla 720, CPU speed seems less important than efficiency...have run it w/ 4750, 4833 and 4875 / Ivy E and up to 5.125 SB-E > little difference...I tweaked my tertiary RAM settings to as tight as they will go; that helped
  7. TX dhenzjhen - ...just added a 1x 720 cat run w/ (slightly) improved efficiency...
  8. ...that's the plan ! ...home-made phase/chiller hybrid for CPU sort of ok, but ordered more parts from the USA > For LN2 (and possibly DICE), I'm smack down-town in a million+ pop metro area in a condo almost 30 stories up > have to do LN2 elsewhere @ a Pro OC's place 80km from here...was planed for yesterday, but the best-laid plans ;-(
  9. Thanks Doug !:-) 1st run w/ this board-CPU combo in a while...RELIEVED...had a GPU elbow w-c fitting burst + leak over several mobos, CUs, GPUs, PSUs etc...after clean-up / dry-out, everything seems to be 100% ok
  10. Tx PROBN4LYFE - ...didn't expect the high score across any mobo in the Z77 comp ...this Z77 / 3770K is still my fav to bench
  11. Thanks ! & ...fyi I noticed that risers which were hard to get before are all of a sudden popping up a lot > miners ?! I might give one a try and do some comparative runs ('normal' vs ' riser')
  12. Hi All......after a year or so of EL, I recently switched to OC League. I'm just doing some basic setup runs right now with a 'light' phase setup...things will start in earnest in a month or so when I have all the necessary equipment and a little bit of experience with it. A few quick questions: - I'll be benching 4960X (and 4960 ES when next gen is released) , 4930K, 3970X and 3770K etc. At -40 C and 'down to LN2', at what load voltages does one accelerate degradation ? Is there a difference between Ivy on the one hand and Ivy-E and especially SB-E on the other in that ? My 3770K Ivy has been near-indestructible on water for over 16 mths , even at 5.3+ on water (mind you it's delidded which won't help freezing, on the contrary). I just find that Ivy-E 'feels' a lot more like SB-E than Ivy, even w/22 nm process et al - I sometimes do 4x GPU and it will be a while before I attempt to freeze those setups...so they'll be water-cooled / chilled while the CPU will be frozen. I have been looking at PCIe16x riser / extenders (powered and un-powered) as that gets them 'out of the way' re. insulating the mobo....have the XOC folks here tried those risers ? Any significant latency penalty etc ? Thanks for your advice !
  13. ...Not Again !?! - ...for about 3 or 4 days now, others (like FtW) and i cannot log into our Catzilla account (uploading subs to the accounts at Catzilla.com still works, just not accessing the account) ...emailed Catzilla.com who responded once, suggesting to sign up again - and they would provide the 'advanced code' at no charge...both FtW and I tried that, but it won't let you sign up again w/ your current user name - to which of course your HWBot scores are linked (so getting a new username is useless). We have followed up with Catzilla.com on that, but no reply for several days... I like the Catzilla bench, but their admin is a bit scary, noting all the various / previous verification problems (which thankfully seem to be fixed now). In any case, seems to me that Catzilla's latest problem is around the 'authentication file' for log-in...Btw, nothing changed on our end, it just went weird some days ago for us...
