  1. For 1) In theory, I agree with you. In fact, I think everyone in the staff agrees with you. This topic has been discussed many times before, and in the end the biggest problem is the overhead it creates for the hwbot engine. It would require a significant change in our database model (add support for multiple result owners) + a re-write of all the code for calculating points. Long story short, coding-wise the benefit of having a more "fair" system does not outweight the complications that come with the development of the feature. For 2) Only the WR points should be affected in such way. At least, that's how it was designed in the beginning. When a #1 score is set to no points, the second in the rank should be getting the GL or HW points. Do you have an example where this is not the case?
  2. Ryba is the stud amongst overclockers, haha
  3. Okay, 1) final is in october, exact date to be determined 2) there will be no loc contest this year
  4. Updated the opening post
  5. Nice deal on the dewar!
  6. I'll make a sticky of this thread so we can use it for further discussion and information sharing.
  7. October - that's all I know so far. I think there are some other people who know more. I'll ask for more information.
  8. Yes, absolutely! (see you in October, we owe you a couple of drinks )
  9. Alright, all tickets have been handed out, msi has been informed and there should be a news later today. There is already a lot of feedback in this thread about the MOA rules and structure this year, so this can all be passed on as well.
  10. Karl, I've added a bunch of ARM processors already. Because it's an SoC, we'll need database extentions. Here's more info: http://bugs.hwbot.org/browse/HWBOT-1224
  11. This must be the first time I'm glad someone cheated. Stay healthy, Dave! Good to hear you are still okay.
  12. Until I see benchmark results, I call BS on all those rediculous RPi OC results. There was a guy at OCN claiming 5GHz on ln2 too, but obviously tha's BS too. So far, most cap out at 1200-1250 on air cooling with overvoltage=8.
  13. You're correct on the read points. This is what I meaured (tested with changing the voltages)
  14. - MSI Z87I --- 1.22: download --- 1.1: download --- 1.0: download - ASRock Z87 OC Formula --- 1.60: download - Asus Maximus VI Extreme --- 0038: download - Asus Maximus VI Formula --- 0038: download - Asus Maximus VI Impact --- 0401: download --- 0039: download
  15. Awesome, is that Linux on your Galaxy Note? //edit: just figured out it's an Odroid Hardkernel. Nice. Couldn't help myself and just bought one as well
  16. The SoC database needs some updating. For now, try with http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/samsung_exynos_4412/
  17. From what I see, the Vin doesn't affect the final Varm. I see my Vin dropping to 4.7V now, but the Varm still measures 1.4V. Seems like the Varm voltage will be fixed regardless of what the Vin is. I also read on the official RPi forums that the limit of 1.4V is hardware related, not firmware.
  18. Heads-up, we're gonna go over the results today and then inform MSI. Nice benching all!
