  1. 1.7 is the final BIOS with all fixes that were tested in bios 1.7B1 to 1.7B15 (theory). The 1.8B10 has the fixes that will go into 1.8 final. So, 1.8B10 should be 'better' if all the fixes in that BIOS are of course functional Changelog for 1.8B10: Thanks for reporting! Very bad news for Intel ... cancelling shipments means instant loss :-/ AE = you encountered the max of your CPU. Overclocking in Windows will not gain you anything Looks like none of the official GBT bioses have PLL override. I'm trying to get an answer why, but I feel it's got something to do with long-term damage.
  2. Important! With Intel cancelling the P67 chipset shipments (LINK), this competition has been postponed to an unspecified date. Thank you for your understanding!
  3. I have just this 5413.8MHz chip. Of course a competition is always partly about the hardware. But that doesn't mean it's always only about the 'best processor'.
  4. Updated! Thanks for sharing!!
  5. Anyone tested this already?
  6. New BIOS: Please confirm if pll override is present in the UD3/UD3P/UD4/UD5 BIOS. 7. My wishes will be granted when a a couple of large hardware vendors finally say yes to a long-term partnership with HWBOT that allows us to not only develop this website, but mainly support the different overclocking communities worldwide.
  8. Thanks! From this, I assume you will be singing Happy Birthday to me when we meet in person?
  9. Numbers are just numbers. I can generate random charts which prove Dinos22 is the best overclocker. Doesn't mean it's true Marketing is just marketing. Very few marketeers who work for hardware vendors understand how to properly use overclocking results, so they just use everything and hope to be right once. As for this particular case, look at what I wrote about these numbers: http://kingpincooling.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13278&postcount=42 http://twitter.com/#!/hwbot/status/30558616545132544
  10. Lol. That's exactly what people said during: - Gulftown-era - Bloomfield-era - Conroe-era - ... I actually believe that, since long, the tweaking aspect will be important again. We can already see quite a bit of CPUs running 5.6-5.7GHz, so for instance 32M will come down to memory tweaking.

  18. Your stats make even less sense ... using just one score to 'calculate' brand quality The conclusion is pretty clear: NO BRAND STANDS OUT. If you spend enough time on your setup, you can use any board to reach 95% of the max results. Whether you hit 100% (which doesn't happen too often) depends on bios/memory/experience/time/...
  19. No need to prove you work for ASUS, Spacemaster ;-). Jumping to conclusions based on a SINGLE score is just wrong. You damn well know this is just about RoccoESA's CPU and not about the superiority of the P8P67 Pro (or even ASUS) mainboards.
  20. No, all his results together helped more in the victory than, let's say, someone who only submitted one score.
  21. There has been no rumours/information on this so far.
  22. Query'd the database for some OC results (K-sku only) (based on ~2500 entries): AVG CPU OC (min. 10 unique users) Average MHz | # unique overclockers | mainboard 5302 | 31 | P67A-GD65 5296 | 14 | P8P67 Evo 5296 | 31 | P8P67 Pro 5288 | 31 | P67A-UD7 5270 | 13 | P8P67 5227 | 12 | TP67XE 5210 | 31 | Maximus IV Extreme 5205 | 12 | P67A-UD5 5095 | 16 | P67A-UD4 5072 | 31 | P8P67 Deluxe AVG MEM OC (min. 5 unique users, exclude all results >DDR3-2400) Average MHz | # unique overclockers | mainboard 1019 | 16 | Maximus IV Extreme 983 | 19 | P8P67 Pro 975 | 6 | TP67XE 969 | 7 | P67A-UD5 959 | 16 | P67A-UD7 944 | 6 | P8P67 Evo 942 | 9 | P67A-UD4 942 | 17 | P67A-GD65 920 | 17 | P8P67 Deluxe 812 | 6 | P8P67

  24. The key issue here is contributing positively to the community by understanding that having a separate account for your daughter might make other people suspicious. It might also make other people consider the option of have a virtual aunt/uncle/nephew/son/mother/grand-mother/... to join their team and generate more points. In other words, it's not so much a problem of trust or legitimacy, but rather the hope that someone takes other people's wishes into consideration as well. I actually formulated multiple scenarios which would allow Dejo and his daughter to bond over Overclocking without it having the perception of someone just adding multiple accounts to generate more points. I really hope this is not going to turn out to be a big deal. All we asked for is not to use two separate accounts that both generate points for a single team in order to not cause other people (who might not know the background story) to think something wrong is happening.
