The official HWBOT Country Cup 2014 thread.
JunkDogg replied to Massman's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Is there a way to tell what position you're country is sitting in for each type of hardware per stage? For example, Stage 4. If I wanted to know how we are sitting for the best 32m time for 'Richland', is there a way I can compare CC entries for Richland only? This way we can monitor and focus on what needs times improved for each hardware type in each stage. -

In relation to this. "The system picture must be of the system in use during the overclocking session" Is this even relevant if submission of close up's of the GPU and CPU blocks are all some people are submitting?? Especially in Stage 4. I thought the idea of this would be to take a step back and take a picture of your whole system including screen and cooling setup??? -

Fair call mate. I actually didn't send a PM for some reason it dissapeared when I pressed the button. It was mainly just inviting Luke to join us over at OCAU in the HWBOT Discussion thread as the guys there have a lot of info they can share and help out with the stupid questions. As for any other tweaks, I"ve also found Prime responds to NB freq a little as well. So push it up as much as you can gents. -

Nah bugger all with Prime. I've done quite a bit of testing with it it's more aboiut CPU Freq and the right architecture. -

Bot Prime mate is all about the right chip for the right job. I've found it's really hit and miss. I've found the older FM2 chips do really well where the latest version example A10-7850K doesn't do Prime well at all. As Newy has said there is a lot in JAVA version that can get you a extra 100 points some times. It's a bit of a experiment really. I would of went through 20 odd different JAVA versions before I settled on the one I use for Prime now. Thanks for that about the mem score mate. I've still got another just in case. I found it's best to tweak with CPU Freq and mem freq until you get close then experiment with timings to get a bit more bost in your score. Also the score can go back down if you go to tight on the timings which sort of blew me away for a bit. I'll send you a PM Luke about some more stuff too. -

Yeah seems legit mate. I get 5400 out of my 8350 on air and I don't think it's anything special. -

That's it mate. Google to the rescue haha. It's my go to for info. Got a 13983 run for maxxmem without OCing my chip last night. Going to play around with OCing and how it affects the bench tonight. -

That's actually a real nice chip you have there Luke. 5300 @ 1.5V not bad at all. Wish my 8350 would do that. -

Sorry to hear mate. Got to monitor those temps. I always have HWmonitor running when pushing to a new unknown. Def need to get a mod to look at your HWbot sub as it should be right up under mine.
