Fair enough. I understand where you are coming from and agree. Agreed a temp rule might have to be implemented as it's to hard to just say ambient(obviously) as chilling water is now ambient. Maybe I should just go back to school I must have missed that bit.

Well done to everyone who managed to do the first stage without changing the ambient temp of your chosen liquid. So in all fairness. A sub ambient run is going to win a ambient stage. Ice slush, water coolers etc are all changing the temp below ambient of what the air is around you so not really a fair playing field for those trying to do it properly. Oh well always next time. Does it have a extra selection for voltage offset as well as vcore? If so, this could be used to get that last few volts.

OC might not be stable enough to save the data file correctly. Try dropping your OC a hundred Mhz and save the file. Try uploading it, if it works I'd say your higher OC might need a few extra volts etc to get it stable.

My 364 was ambient water. Haven't tried any ice bucketed water.

I didnt see much difference in my 8350 above about 1.6v. Not on water it just got hotter. 5400mhz maxxed mine out.

I'm running in both mste and won't be submitting any AMD stuff until I get the Z97 off the test bench. So the submissions will come. You should be able to pump some more volts into that CPU with the cooler you have too mate. For a quick boot into windows to get your OC% validation. Try for 1.55 volts. Anything over that I'd say you should be on water. Hopefully that might help you a bit. Work on max temp of 70 degrees Celsius.

Yeah yuck. I have a bit of a fetish with collecting AMD chips so I have them everywhere. I just haven't had time to test them all. I had about 20 different K10 chips turn up today that I've got to get to testing and benching to see who's who in the zoo. So far though with the APU's and FX chips I have that Sempron is a real shiner.
