  1. SoF I'll put 100 Euro on Gigabyte and ASUS sending out more ultra-binned CPUs then ASRock.. I am looking forward to trying this board. - I wont get a CPU shipped with the board, I've binned 5 CPUs myself, I got a 3218C021, a bit weaker then my buddy Rosty's... I will bribe him with a burger and beer to try my CPU on his crazy cascade
  2. Should be solved with different/newer BIOS.
  3. Berlin next month?!?! Massman said no beer at campus party, and no going out for dinner.... We'll show him!

  4. Actually you wouldnt know, nor have any saying in such a matter, its not within your job role, and it will never become so. - Lets keep it on topic from this point on, you can start some sort of chat and invite me, or wait for a livestream - if you want to mess around - Im leaving OT from this point on.
  5. Sure that sounds like the excuse of the 'American' marketing staff... But, Porsche aint selling track day cars? Cars er not sold without stereo or aircondition? Its excuses man, dont let them feed you with that crap. Dont get me wrong, not saying Gigabyte are bad, Im saying they are not paying attention to feedback, not admitting wrongs, its a 'I work in Taiwan' thing I guess.... Perfection is not a goal, deception is - and it is a generel thing, also something that makes me a bit calm, as it makes both American and Taiwanese companies a bit less competitive (and French...)
  6. You are a big fan of IC's.... I can take a bunch of pictures and tell you which.... Nah just going to tell you, and I think you will agree.... SATA3; It was a no brainer that it should not have been on the board, if going for PCMark, you'd hit a PCI-E card... USB3; Again, no reason for it on a bench card... Both just add on the cost side, without benefitting the group that is likely to buy the product, and no, I dont think it is a bad product, but those things mentioned, I sure reported long before the board was launched, and they were defended - for no real reason except 'we no make mistakes'
  7. Dont have RMA experience with them.
  8. Good time to announce my experience with Gigabyte RMA.... I won a board in Gigabyte fan contest 2010, the board lost a couple ram channel/dimm shortly after.... Guess what, RMA = impossible, despite I know quite alot of staff.... So wouldnt exactly call their RMA perfect.... eVGA, Gigabyte, ASUS all got terrible RMA.. Please note; I am not suggesting ASUS RMA is good, because it isnt - I am suggesting that RMA is hell on earth when not being from a store, unless its Corsair, which has freaking awesome RMA support.
  9. No vendor does that, not ASUS, not Gigabyte, not Intel, and certainly not Corsair..... I have never ever once in my life, experienced a vendor not defending stupid choices.... Be it branding Vengeance ram as 'OC series' or Gigabyte pumping concept board X58-OC with additional controllers that you simply do not need for bench..
  10. Pretty decent chips, but unfortunately there is a huge difference from bootable, to fully stable.. DDR3-2666 is quite good for fully stable, I've only had one Ivy that can do that... - Now the funny thing, the ES Intel sends out for reviewers, pretty much every CPU can do DDR3-3000 boot Ivy IMC does not really impact that much from cooling.
  11. You think that is the real expense? I got one word for you; liquor
  12. Changing region of residence that is? ;-P
  13. 3218C0xx seems strong... :-) Think I'll bribe Rosty with a burger next weekend, then we can test mine on the monster cascade too, hehe.
  14. Hey guys, I just got home, I've had a nice day too First of all, I am not even sure who Sergio is, sorry I do not suggest anyone cheating, except OPB - and if I suspect someone is cheating, I'll be crying on Massman or Christian Ney's msn within a few min. HIWA was creative with LOC as some may remember, along many other top OC'ers - while ryba boarded a flight and used elmors prebinned hardware.... HIWA served time, and wont do that again, I believe. Others have submitted HW that was not released, as other hardware.... Hence; Phenom II X4 965 125W / 140W, due to NDA - something I consider being a bad sport, but not cheating.... Thats why I say, people are being creative. I do not mean no harm, not going to start a war, and I am not competing on hwbot myself - so not really effecting me.
  15. Hmm, either I am doing it WRONG, or those load temps cant be true.... 1.25v = 70C+ here.... 4.7ghz p95 12-12 AVX.
  16. I see ryba taught you some tricks on how to make friends
  17. Prime95 stable! Wild guess; 1M stable.
  18. UD5H BIOS F10a tested, just as hopeless as the other, F8 is the best one so far - seems the board simply just isnt very strong.
  19. Onepagebook did that for quite a while though.... And many top10 hwbot users have been 'creative'......
  20. Yup was stock CPU... 1.475v VDIMM was only thing I've set, and along DDR3-2000, except for that, flat :-)
