K404 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I dont know much about the validation process.... I think I remember from old, that as soon as a new CPU-Z version was released, .cvf from previous versions wouldn't be accepted on the canard site? Because of the bugs, I don't really wanna use the latest version... do I HAVE to use it or can I stick with 1.55? Quote
knopflerbruce Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 These days it's a little bit "hit or miss", i remember I used 1.53 after 1.54 was out or something like that, it worked. However, to be 100% sure nothing goes wrong it's better to use the most recent one available. Quote
K404 Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 I dont wanna pump 57v to my CPU :p Quote
Christian Ney Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) You can still use the older version for a while, but not too long. canardpc valid won't allow you to submite with the older one after 1 or 2 weeks ! Edited November 17, 2010 by Christian Ney Quote
Crew Turrican Posted November 17, 2010 Crew Posted November 17, 2010 You can still use the older version for a while, but not too long. canardpc valid won't allow you to submite with the older one after xx weeks ! that seem to be new. in the past after a new version was out, the older one was immediately not validate-able anymore. Christian Ney Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 that seem to be new. in the past after a new version was out, the older one was immediately not validate-able anymore. when the 1.55 was out, I was still submiting with the 1.54 for 2 weeks and then It says ''not the right version of cpuz please download the last one''(or smthg like that) . TaPaKaH Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 if it's REALLY important and you ask Franck or Sam politely - you can validate even the pre1.55 dumps Quote
K404 Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 latest version it is! Thanks guys Better safe than sorry! Quote
Crew Sweet Posted November 17, 2010 Crew Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) In the spirit and the letter of the rule of Cpu-z, It is determinant and conclusive, "use the latest version and have the corresponding validation". Any online CPU-Z submission must comply to the following rules: use most recent CPU-Z version have a valid canardpc validation link as verification, screenshots are no longer allowed since 19th May 2008. You can save your overclock and submit later if your benchrig is not connected to the internet. use the same nickname in the CPU-Z submission as your hwbot name IMO, I think that leaves no doubt Better safe than sorry! I fully agree with this Edited November 17, 2010 by Sweet Quote
