There are some cosmetic dents to the IHS from the delid process (cardboard slipped down on the vice so the teeth weren't protected). There is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut under the IHS, though it is NOT resealed at this point. Assume no warranty from Intel unless you swap the IHS and reseal.

Disclaimer

This chip has been tested subzero. In my experience, it has no cold bug with the right voltages on the right board (if you're using a Z170X-SOC Force, I'm happy to share my settings). It's capable of 5.9GHz through light 3D load (3D03) and 5.7 through heavier stuff (3D06). These are my experiences and they are not guaranteed in the sale. I know it has more in it but my board kicked it and I just bought a ring for my now Fiance () so I won't have time to test it for a while.

Price drop. $320

Why would you use a vice? Razor blade is much safer and it doesn't mangle the IHS or pcb.

Messed up the PCB of a 4770K with a razor. Vice, when done properly, is totally fine in my experience. This wasn't done properly because the layer protecting the teeth slipped down.
