Masterchief79 Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 (edited) Hello HWBot team, I got this OEM MSI GTS450 with a GF106 core and 128 bit interface. However it only has 144 shaders opposed to the default 192. It also only features 512MB of GDDR5 memory. I don't know if this justifies a new category but I thought I'd give it a try before bricking the card trying to unlock shaders or something. Mr.Scott Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 Sure that's a real GTS450 and not a Chinese knockoff? Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted August 21, 2018 Crew Posted August 21, 2018 Well GPUDB have this card too: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/3011/geforce-gts-450-oem Maybe Chinese but as long as the specs get properly detected by GPU-Z all is fine. http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/geforce_gts_450_gf106_144_shaders_128bit/ 1 Quote

I'm happy to enter it in another, existing category if there is one that fits. Other than that, no idea, I got it in a box off ebay with a lot of other random, untested cards. I'm pretty sure it's just an OEM card though that was never sold on its own. 23 hours ago, Strunkenbold said: Well GPUDB have this card too: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/3011/geforce-gts-450-oem Maybe Chinese but as long as the specs get properly detected by GPU-Z all is fine. http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/geforce_gts_450_gf106_144_shaders_128bit/ Thanks a lot! Now I can submit my scores there. I would have liked the competition of the 192 shader category (which is packed) but it's not really a fair fight with only 144. Quote
ObscureParadox Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 Pop the cooler off and check if it's actually a GF106 under there Quote
Masterchief79 Posted August 22, 2018 Author Posted August 22, 2018 I did beforehand, else I wouldn't have made this request. I would take a pic but I don't want to dismount the cooler again just for this. Quote
