Posted August 14, 201113 yr Just wondering if i unlock my Phenom II 550be to quad core do i still submit results as if its still a 550be dual core or submit as a qquad core?
September 28, 201212 yr I would like to clear this a bit more... I don't like my submissions to be reported, so... the question is: We have an Phenom II X2 550BE... We unlock it to quad core but we disable two cores as per below attached screenshot... http://www.hwbot.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1353&stc=1&d=1348875005 Can we submit results to X2 category let's say for wprime32m? For benches that use only one core as pifast & spi1m i think there is no problem, But is it acceptable to submit results to other benchmarks that use multiple cores? Since we use only 2 cores i think it is legal but i prefer to clear it out first before i submit results... Anyone pls? This is my recent spi1m submission including all the above... is it OK to submit all other results to X2 category? http://www.hwbot.org/submission/2316896_varachio_superpi_phenom_ii_x2_550_be_11sec_828ms?recalculate=true Edited September 29, 201212 yr by varachio

EDIT- Nevermind. Probably just picking the 2 highest clocking cores and disabling the other two.

Probably just picking the 2 highest clocking cores and disabling the other two. Correct... I was searching for the best core on chip when doing this... I unlocked it, and i kept only the two original cores enabled... that done by "mistake" however i found that after that the two original cores had more efficiency
September 30, 201212 yr Yes, that is perfectly allowed. You can choose the best two cores for your 2xCPU benchmark result .
