BenchZowner Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Ok boys, you should consider yourselves lucky to be able to try my customized benchmarking-oriented Windows ( ok, I might be overreacting and exaggerating I don't get to talk nice about myself often ) Ok! ok! I'll stop mumbling I haven't integrated any CD Keys, so yes, you can legally download these operating systems and try them for free for 30 days without a key or forever just by using your genuine CD Key. They're in ISO format archived in split RAR files. Just download the archives and extract the ISO and burn it with a cd/dvd burning application ( Nero, etc ). The links are interchangeable. BenchZowner Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 I don't have a stripped 2k8 server... yet But I should have one soon ( actually I will upload the rest OSs in the following days ) [ the full suite... x86 & x64 version of all windows versions, XP, 2003, Vista, 7, 2008 ] Quote
Ol'Bud Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Since you know a lot of very interesting tricks, do you know what tricks there are to tweaking WPrime32 to get a faster score? There have been some remarks made about such tweaks, but they have not been shared by some here at the BOT. Quote
BenchZowner Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 The most rewarding "tweaks" for wPrime 32 and 1024 are... 1) Use the appropriate Windows version ( Windows XP x86 for Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 CPUs, Windows Vista x86 for Intel Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme CPUs ) 2) Do a copy-wazza ( just like you do for SuperPi, it helps in wPrime too ) 3) Make sure you install the chipset & VGA drivers for your system ( wPrime is slower without these ) 4) Enable LSC ( LargeSystemCache = 1 ) 5) Run wPrime in realtime priority with prifinity or a batch file 6) Disable Windows Themes / Aero ( could be the opposite, I don't remember for sure, sorry ) Quote

Ol'Bud Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Do you have a Windows 7 Professional not the Ultimate version? I have a license for the Professional one. Quote
Thor941 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Hi! Can somebody tell me what are the advantages of each O/S? I mean which one is made for what bench? Thx Quote
BenchZowner Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 New Windows XP x86 Professional SP3 version uploaded. Works fine with the latest patches of the 3D Mark series ( fixed the "System info error" ). For SuperPi, PiFast & wPrime use the older version, works better for those benchmarks.
